Alright, so recently I've been getting into LBP (Hello to the older LBPC members! Sorry for being away for so long D: ). Anyways, while I was experimenting with level creation, I made a most disturbing discovery. I'm not quite sure when this happened, it might've been introduced long ago. Okay, so as you know, pressing "Try Again" makes your character inflate themselves until they pop. Innocent enough, right? Wrong. Have a look at the "Trapped" video. Note that when Sackboy self-destructs, the little pieces of fabric he leaves behind after popping are white. Now, try it yourself. Somewhere down the line, MM changed the colour of the "Exploded sackboy leftovers" from white, to a -red- colour. Ludicrous (fabric) gibs, anyone? The change is subtle, especially to players who haven't Self Destructed much lately, but when I noticed it, I found it to be quite grim. O_O Sorry if this has been covered before, just had to throw that out there. ~Chaz

The leftovers I get are green... Hmm. Maybe it has something to do with what Player Colours you have set? *checks* Nope, not that. o.O Maybe it's something unique to each player? I have no idea what determines the colour of your selfdestruct leftovers. It's not player colour, and it's not what material you're made of... What could it be?

Maybe they are the colour of your pop-it. My popit is red...the secondary colour is green but every popit colour gives me green stuff coming out of him.

Hmm... Well, I tried signing on with another profile on the same console, and his Self-Destruct leftovers are green. After trying the second profile in player 1's controller slot, I can safely say that controller position has nothing to do with self-destruct-confetti colour either. This is certainly perplexing for me. I'm going to have to try some more stuff.

My Pop-It is blue, but the pieces are purple. It could just be random, or some very insignificant and obscure factor that changes your "death fabric" color.

Well, I've just created a new experimental profile to see what colour this guy's explosions turn out. His appear to be a pale green colour, as opposed to the previous profile's normal green colour. I think it's some unique identifier that's included when a profile is first created.

Nope. No matter what fabric I applied to my own Sackboy, his explosions always resulted in red fabric shreds falling to the ground.

I never even thought of that, because I rarely use that option. I'll have a look at it next time I play, maybe I get pink or blue?

I recently found out that you can also very briefly see it if you get electrocuted, since that also involves your Sackboy going "pop".

It was just when I discovered to my horror that my explody-parts were red, for a second I thought MediaMolecule had decided to get things a bit gory. o.O But as it turns out I instead accidentally discovered that each created profile gets a randomly selected stuffing colour.

We've already asserted that it's not, Korn. My Popit is Flesh Pink & Leafgreen. Yet I still get this reddish stuffing colour. It doesn't change, no matter whether or not I change it to Yellow & Fuchsia, Orange & Green, or any of the other popit colours, it'll always be a reddish stuffing colour for me. o.O

I noticed that mine turn red once, i was like O.o however i found something else, if you play online and the game lags at the right point, when you run into gas, you can see sackboy choke and fall to the ground and lay there.

Hm. An interesting little update. The colour of my "Pop" seems to have changed to an orangey-yellow colour. O_o; I still have no idea what factors are taken into consideration (Definitely not the Popit), but I'm doing all of the testing that I can.

Maybe it's randomised whenever you tunn on the game? I hate it when you get squished your body falls... I was timing my sis out going down one of those abseiling? things in the collectors lair and then she got squishied and I saw her corpse fall down infornt of me whilst I was descending :eek: :shudder:

Maybe the color is involved with the current update, i also noticed that the scoreboard light can have a different color too. I'm gonna go check my colors now. EDIT: i figured it out, if you put a red sticker on sackboy, you get red confetti, if you put a black sticker on sackboy you get black confetti. Also, the scoreboard light is either random or update related.

i just tried it, i get a different colour with each different costume, i get Red with naked sackboy, Black with my Dark Ghoul, i get green with my fox warrior, and i get blue with my fox gatherer

I found it! in regular play, its always the same. But when you pop in create mode, its the main sticker or color of you costume. Then, when you go back to play mode, its whatever the last color of your popping stuffing is. That means by popping with the right stickers in create mode, you can make your stuffing color whatever you want!

^ well yes, if you read the other posts..... but this...happens with my points bubbles too. my confetti has always been red, still is even though i have changed my pop it colour a few times. byt now when i go for a purple pop it all the points bubbles are different colours, purples, greens, blues, browns, pinks and so on...there can be a line of points bubbles and all be different colours...befire this they were always the colour of my pop it im not complaining, i quite like it
