Life with Playstation

Archive: 19 posts

If you didn't know folding @home just updated to life with Playstation, it is actually cool, you can rotate around the globe and check out news around the globe. Also you are helping standford find cures, if you haven't used folding @ home yet well here is the time.2008-09-17 07:24:00

Interesting... I've done some Folding@Home work. Not much, maybe just one of the modules, it was more of just to see what it was all about. But that sounds interesting... May check into it again.2008-09-17 17:27:00

Yea, saw this last night too, but too sleepy to make thread lol :o

Here is what I found: http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=550800

Don't bother reading the replies, it's full of trash, but the links in the original post are cool.

Problem is, this does not work for everyone (myself included )... My question to you Darth is whether you are running 2.42 or 2.43? If you're on 2.43 then this might be the key, and I might bother to download it to see if it helps...

I downloaded 2.43 before I got it. I always put my PS3 on folding@home at night and I did it was there. I did do the update first so I don't know if that is the reason or not. But could be. It should work automatically when going into folding@home.2008-09-17 21:32:00

Yea so I've read, but it doesn't happen for me grr, I'm in f@h now, first time actually and I want to let it finish what it's doing to 100%, then I'll download the 2.43 update and see if it does the trick!

Life was accidentally released, while Sony were testing something. Only a few lucky people managed to get it in time.2008-09-17 22:12:00

Isn't that a little selfish? I mean, it's cancer, man.

Sorry for the DP - I know, I'm a mod - but that wouldn't give this thread the bump it truely deserves.

Life with Playstation is officially out now. For real. Go to F@H, download a few files, and there it is! Pretty cool.

Yeah I think it is, and no home is still there but now you have Life with Playstation. So if you hadd Folding @ home, it just played music and a little cell thing was there and the world. Well now they updated this to Life with Playstation, this adds the globe still but also weather, and news. You can rotate the world and go to different cities and see the weather and news. On the news you can actually click it and it opens up a google page. I think it is cool and also you are helping Standford out, so why not.

Also you can swith between Life and Home, so it is really cool.
