I just played part 1, loved it, and so went straight into part 2. I only played one path on this playthrough, I'll get to the other later and update as I find + Great titles + Nice continuation of the last level with the materials and decorations + Them enemies are vicious little blighters + Great exploration and backtracking again, I'm to-ing and fro-ing through the level in case I miss anything, and I love how your swing bridge is made and moves!! + The waterfall looks great + Excellent decoration + Plenty of secrets, and loads of points. + I love your foliage + Great design for the men you fight, they look brilliant. + Excellent wheel, challenging but fun. ? Why have you got two checkpoints at the start? Nevermind, its me engaging mouth before brain as usual ? Did you remove the camera that pans up the waterfall? Or am I completely blind and missed it ? I need coffee, my skills are bad this morning. - I got stuck in one secret, the one where you fall behind the rocks, had to pop to get out. I only found one real problem, mentioned above, the rest where me not paying attention, it was a great continuation of the story, fun to explore with some nice exploration, secrets, platforms and puzzles. Another excellent level, 5* and hearted. For creating two great levels, yes, you can haz cheezburgr | 2009-09-16 09:59:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

You stole my words Grantos. I need coffee too. A lot. I think I'd have been much better now I've had my morning caffeine and nicotine hits | 2009-09-16 10:34:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Grantos - when you fall behind the rock you grab and an opening appears. I had the same ploblem at first.... it's hard to tell whether you're stuck or not. LOVED this level - great gameplay and secrets. A lot of depth. One issue I ran into you may want to check on - I think the barrel puzzle section broke on me. I got 2 barrels onto the pallet, but when it spawned the 3rd barrel the 2nd one disappeared.... so I couldn't get three. I finally brought the barrels down to the bottom where the dude told me to hit the button but the button didn't seem to do anything. Regardless, I continued and finished the level without a hitch - GREAT job! (for those reading - this was not a main part of the story - it's a minigame sort of area) 5 stars and a heart! | 2009-09-16 13:08:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Grantos - when you fall behind the rock you grab and an opening appears. I had the same ploblem at first.... it's hard to tell whether you're stuck or not. I could actually see sackboys head appearing everynow and then, and tried for a bit to get out then popped myself, so no harm done really. I never thought about grabbing actually, see, I definetly need my coffee and nicotine first thing, I just don't think without them EDIT: Something else I noticed, more nitpicks, when you use the scenery to get over the wall into the base, one of the bushes is floating behind the rock, it looks a little strange | 2009-09-16 13:12:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
The last secret I figured out was how to get the bubbles in the lunch room. That's the best one in the level, the whole section is brillant. I replayed a bunch of times and found no problems other than being innocently squished to death in some crevice. A fun level with great secrets. Another outstanding installment! | 2009-09-16 14:05:00 Author: Kipmonlin Posts: 251 |
? Did you remove the camera that pans up the waterfall? Or am I completely blind and missed it No... it's still in there (one of my favorite parts). - I got stuck in one secret, the one where you fall behind the rocks, had to pop to get out. I finally brought the barrels down to the bottom where the dude told me to hit the button but the button didn't seem to do anything. Hmmm... This section is bound to break for some people. It is so logic-heavy and as much as I tried to fool proof it, there are still ways to break it. The re-spawning barrels should only happen if you miss the pallet (or roll one off). The three barrels each have their own key color, so once you get one secured on the pallet, it should progress to the next. If you respawn, then you are still working on that color. (hope that made sense). You should be able to press the button and get additional barrels until all three are secured on the pallet. And if you didn't get all three on, then the shipping portion at the bottom won't work. Not sure if I can really fix this at this stage. But I will look into it. Thanks. You guys think I need to add something here? Tell them to hit R1? It may be smoother if you just simply dissolve that piece when they fall to the bottom of the hidden area... grabbing when you can't see sackboy is not a usual mechanic, and a text box may be cheesy. I can tell you exactly what happened - when I spawned the first barrel it stayed on the pallet, but rolled a bit too far to the left. I tried to get it back on, but it may have been a TAD farther to the left than you had intended (but stable on the pallet). Maybe slightly increasing the key that tells if its on the pallet or not. | 2009-09-17 17:45:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Yep - dunno why I didn't think of it. Thanks! I can tell you exactly what happened - when I spawned the first barrel it stayed on the pallet, but rolled a bit too far to the left. That still seems odd to me, cuz if it was outside the range of the mag switch, then it should have just disappeared (re-spawned) when you hit the button again. | 2009-09-17 17:59:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
The first barrel was on the left of the pallet, the 2nd barrel was to the right of it. It was the 2nd barrel that kept disappearing and respawning. So maybe because the first barrel was a bit too far to the left, the barrel on the RIGHT was a bit too far to the left - which means you would need to extend the key area of the 2nd barrel. | 2009-09-17 18:08:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

I'll just pop in quick to say that I had some problems in the forklift section. It was my first time playing the level, so I was all disoriented at first, and I did a few things out of order. I pushed the red button for the door before I had the barrels in position, and it shut before I had everything lined up. Pressing the button again had no effect. Also, I noticed that in the part where you grab the tree-top and it falls, you can actually make that jump onto the fallen tree to bypass some of the level. Still haven't found all the stuffs, but I'll keep looking. | 2009-09-17 18:54:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Good work on this one aswell V0rtex! Pros: +Awesome platforming, climbing up the waterfall area for all those secrets was a fun! +Funny dialouge, i liked the workers calling sackboy a noob at the forklift +Cool puzzle, the whole preparing the barrels for shipping was awesome! +Excellent boss, i struggled on it, but mostly because i dont like "big wheels" (...memories of the several attempts at the bunker until finally acing it) Cons: -The break room, am i suppose to get those points or just look at em? -Upon leaving factory when the four workers apprehend sackboy...i was able to take out 3 of em from long range before even activating the sensor switch which made them fire. Again overall excellent level. 5/5 stars and another heart! I like this series! | 2009-09-17 19:14:00 Author: King_Tubb Posts: 435 |
Wow. I'm having even more of a blast in this one. More my type I guess. Great platforming in there and nice secrets too. (I loved your secrets in the first part too). -Your vines are fun. -You valve to shut some drop that blocked the passage. I've never seen such thing. Really cool idea! -You attention to details like the light when you're about to exit a cave. That's nice polish. Keep it up! -The forest looks good near the end. Good work here. Impressive to pull out a level in 2 parts to begin with. You kept me interested until the and let me tell you that your level is better than many that were chosen by Media Molecule for the GOTY edition. :star::star::star::star: | 2009-09-18 03:59:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Ha - played this last night and caught the CCubbage and Morgana reference! Very funny! Also, I don't think I mentioned it before - but that climb up the mountain was truly epic. All the detail, the secrets, and swinging around gets more fun every time I play it. The use of cartoony trees also gave me an idea - I had never really thought of using cartoony shrubbery in a more realistic setting, but it works. | 2009-09-18 12:03:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Another great level! As with Part I you combined the secret hunting with some good-looking visuals and fun platforming. I really enjoyed looking for the secrets again, although I had the impression that you had made them easier to find this time round, maybe because the ?markers? were so much more visible. I loved the ascent of the waterfall. That was a really good idea and very well done. I enjoyed all the backtracking and path finding. More little quirky touches too ? great snake! Another element continued from Part I is the variety in locations/styles you manage to pack into the level as we move from jungle through murky tunnels into an underground facility and on into the woods. Nice to see someone making such good use of the Burgerman pack BTW. I think you really demonstrated its potential. I thoroughly enjoyed the barrel loading room. Very nice design/visuals in there. Great humour too! I liked the fridge in the break room particularly ? as with Part I, nice touch to tantalise us that way! I REALLY liked your ?re-processor? wheelie! It's challenging without being too mean. I died a lot the first time I attempted it but with all the grabbable bits it's possible work out an effective system for getting through! It was fun!!! I only had one quibble and it's a very minor one. When I tried to get behind the fallen tree to push it towards the fence, I had real plane shifting problems every time. Oh and I had the same issue as Grantos with the hidden area where there seems to be no way out. The first couple of times I played I just re-spawned to get out. It was only when it occurred to me that only a very lazy creator would omit to give you a "proper" exit and that this level was certainly not the work of a lazy creator that I tried other methods! That was when I realised it was the re-spawning which had denied me that final light on the board. You only get the chome and the light if you exit correctly! I think you are on to a real winner with this combination of secrets, puzzles, design and platforming and I do hope there will be more in the series! 5 stars and hearted! | 2009-09-18 19:20:00 Author: shropshirelass Posts: 1455 |
You already know I really liked this level. Just thought I'd post that I gave it 5 stars and hearted it. | 2009-09-19 00:34:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
I really enjoyed looking for the secrets again, although I had the impression that you had made them easier to find this time round, maybe because the ?markers? were so much more visible. LOL - Funny you mention that. This started out as one level - with the dessert scene moving into the tropical. But I rather quickly ran out of thermo, so I split it. But the waterfall was where I had spent the bulk of my work up to that point, so I continued working on it and actually finished Part II first, several weeks ago. So the secrets didn't really get easier... they got harder. I only had one quibble and it's a very minor one. When I tried to get behind the fallen tree to push it towards the fence, I had real plane shifting problems every time. Hmmm... Yeah the backside of that tree has same plane shifting issues. I'll have to take a look - see what I can do to fix that. Oddly enough though, I never thought to push the tree. LOL Thanks for all the kind words though! Glad you liked it. | 2009-09-19 00:49:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
LOL! Even as I was typing that I wondered whether I should have been pulling it instead but I was too lazy to replay the level to find out if that would have been easier! It was just that I was at that end of the tree for a reason and it just seemed natural to jump down and push from there! Don't bother fixing it. Others probably won't be that obtuse! | 2009-09-19 00:57:00 Author: shropshirelass Posts: 1455 |

It's one of those things that has always bugged me, and in the back of mind were the words, "Well... if anybody mentions, then we'll fix it". So be it. | 2009-09-19 00:58:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Just played this after playing part I. As with the other, I aimed to get all of the secrets, backtracking where possible, but I couldn't find them all. I also tried to jump into any unexplored opening (including the one where the barrels go) but you've conveniently placed some toxic gas there. Spoil sport. What else can be said. Amazing visuals, amazing gameplay and an overall fun level to play. I can't wait to see what the next installment will be like. | 2009-09-19 18:24:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
Had a blast playing this Vortex! I restarted the level almost immediately just to see that first upwards camera pan again. : ) And i actually applauded the tv when my three cannisters went off to shipping, that was such a cool little set-piece, it worked beautifully. great stuff!! | 2009-09-24 00:14:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
I really enjoyed this level. It was very unique and fun. I like the way that you allow the player to look for the secrets or not. Definitly one of my favorite levels (which include your other "00Sack" levels)! Please tell me if you're going to make another part in the series! I really think you should!! | 2009-09-26 02:36:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
I never had the chance to play your level. That's bad I know, especially for me, since your levels are greatness. I played all of them and had a blast. There's a really of humour throughout, a good story, even if, at the moment is not extremely original. The secrets areas are aweome, even if I didn't spot them all and they really add much to gameplay and replayability. The balance between puzzles and platforming is almost perfect. The visuals are awesome and very personal; the forest in part 3 is really cool and polished, with a lot of care in cutting the cardbox for the stickering. What else, thanks for crafting them with so much cure and making them so fun to play. 15 hearts total and an author heart. Please F4F the level in my signature. I hope you'll have fun and enjoy it as much as I did with your levels! | 2009-09-30 22:10:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
