It is getting closer and closer! And to keep track i made a countdown for the games release! http://www.bored.com/makecountdowns/show.php?id=181003 The countdown is set to go off at the 22nd at midnight! | 2009-09-15 22:13:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
Ironically enough, my local EB games seller is having a midnight launch on Monday night. There are actually two big games coming out for Tuesday, one being the aforementioned Halo 3: ODST. The other is Aion, an MMORPG for the PC. If you have been following my postings about the place, you will likely work out the reason I would be there for midnight. | 2009-09-17 15:30:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |
I am definitely looking forward to this game, but I don't know if I'm going to rent it or buy it. On the one hand, it's a great, open-world game that may have some replay value - on the other hand, I'd still be buying it for the single-player, so I don't know if that is worth $60. Still, an invite into the Halo: Reach beta sounds fun, too, so I still have yet to make up my mind. | 2009-09-17 16:04:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
well the replay value is firefight i would say. My gamestop has a midnight release but theres no point in me going since i would get it and then go to sleep without playing and be really tired at school. So on tuesday i will just get it when my dad gets home from work! | 2009-09-17 21:01:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
I don't know if it's just that GoW and Halo are on the same console so they use the same sort of mode of if it's just coincidence but I would've thought they'd be a bit innovative. Imagine if ODST had resistance 2 style co-op instead of firefight; to be honest it doesn't take much effort to place some random spawners and let people just fight to the death. | 2009-09-17 21:05:00 Author: Shermzor Posts: 1330 |
I find firefight will be just as cool as Resistance 2 co operative but its going to be different. And with the Horde from GoW and firefight from halo they even said firefight was horde in halo at E3. but they said it wasnt as predictable as Horde from GoW | 2009-09-17 21:07:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
The difference from Horde is the skulls I think. It's a good deal. 3 games for the price of 1. But I get a free (free if you give them $50 extra) controller too. I'm a bit annoyed we can't search for matches (but campaign always has lag). Cause my friends list isn't always online. Oh, but some people set up firefight accounts and you send them a friend request and you look at their friends list and join one of them. | 2009-09-18 00:00:00 Author: Snappyguy Posts: 710 |
It's a great game. Firefight is intense Halo action, and the campaign is the typical brilliance that's produced by Bungie. No regrets will be had if you buy this game. | 2009-09-18 13:31:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
I debated about buying ODST for a while now and ultimately, I think I will. The campaign actually looks more interesting than the Halo 3 campaign to me and I'm excited about the new maps for the multi player. As for Firefight, I don't know how much time I will play it (I got bored of GOW's Horde mode very quickly), but I like the enemies of Halo better than GOW, so maybe I'll get more enjoyment from fending wave after wave of Covenant off. | 2009-09-18 20:27:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Anyone gone to a preview of the game and played firefight? I always played the campaign with my brother but he moved out so now I have nobody to play with. Halo is really boring alone after a while. And Xbox Live meet ups never work. I'm gonna have to brave this one solo. oh! Since we are all xboxers. Are any of you girls? I have a code for a T-Shirt (from PAX) but they gave me a female shirt code and not a male and MS said with an automatic response "WE don't know how to fix it" and said do not reply the question is answered. So message me if you want the PAX female T-shirt code. http://www.x2i4eva.com/imagesnx/fpaxcomp.png | 2009-09-19 10:20:00 Author: Snappyguy Posts: 710 |
I got a question: What is it about Halo that is so great? I've played it pretty many times but I just don't think that it's that great. To me, it's just another post-futuristic FPS. Of course this may be about personal taste for games, but just asking. (No, this ain't a troll. I'm just curious) | 2009-09-24 18:38:00 Author: Oerjeke Posts: 234 |
15 people on my friends list were playing this when it came out - there was no one at all playing it at 8 today. Long lasting? nah lol | 2009-09-24 20:39:00 Author: Unknown User |
I feel its going to last a long time time for me i completly love it!! I really love it. Firefight is awesome with 4 friends! | 2009-09-24 22:12:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
before we sold our overheated xbox (not a 360) to some guy on craigs list (it shuts down after 15 minutes and needs to cool-off for 20) me and my brother had halo one and two. it was fun, we played it soooo much. neither of us thought highly of halo 2. its more of an expansion pack then a new game. and we never botherd with a 360 when we decided to go back to sony consoles | 2009-09-24 22:19:00 Author: mattbru77 Posts: 143 |
