Possible new material from mgs pack.

Archive: 8 posts

Well not necessarily new, more like a glitched existing material...

Messing about today with the mgs turrets (originally trying to isolate a tweakable laser) I think I discovered a new material. On the "pop-up sentry turret" there are two pieces of what appears to be the beige gekko armour material, but it has the edge detail of basic cardboard.
It turns out it behaves as card (light, can be bombed etc) but has the appearence (and sheen) of the aforementioned metal. If only we could modify / dissemble parts of Mm objects (corner edit, detatch parts easier etc)...

Nice find. I'm sure someone will be very interested in this. Personally, I can just sticker other stuff to change it's appearance, but eh.2009-09-15 19:01:00

You know in computer drawing programs where if you use an eye dropper you can draw with the same colour that you just eye dropped... The tool that Teebonesy imagines is the same as one of those but it works with materials rather than colours.

It would certainly be useful for accessing these hidden materials and also for simply making creating faster and easier.2009-09-17 15:23:00
