It depends on the size. Though to be honest I haven't seen a needle in the longest time.2009-09-14 18:05:00

I don't mind them as long as they aren't really big and about to be put into me

If i don't watch then i don't mind any injection really.

... Well unless it's somewhere really weird like an eye injection *shudders*

The arm or leg is probley the best part to get ejected... Anywhere else plain hurts.

Well the test you have to see if you need a BCG was terrible. I was told they quickly stamped you with about 20 needles and off you pop.

No

The doctor told me that this was no longer the case instead (and I swear this is exactly how they explained it):

We go for single injection into your forearm on the underside; this is a very sensitive area and we'll also have to do the injection slowly. You see what we need to do is form a blister on your skin and so if we do it to quickly the skin will burst so please try not to wriggle with the needle in you.

So OK I'm ******* myself now, I take the injection and it stings like a normal one. 20 seconds later (seriously must be the slowest injection out there ><) needle comes out and at first I'm fine then yer.. *blergh*. I'm amazed that you can use to many eve hypos in bioshock without feeling sick

The worst part is when the doctor/nurse puts the needle infront of you and all this liquid starts squirting out if it. Nice and graphic for ya. 2009-09-14 22:07:00

I am all right with needles... I really hate blood tests, though. I had a nurse who couldn't find my vein once. Instead of taking her time, she kept repeatedly jabbing me with the needle until my arm was completely black and blue. As I've gotten older, I find it harder and harder to look at the needles while they're taking my blood. 2009-09-14 22:33:00

I thought this was about the song...

I don't mind needles, but then the last time I was pierced by a needle was 4 years ago for a blood donation and the one before that I can't even remember.

Anyone who can't find my veins must be blind. :-)

Not in the slightest.

One time I had to get injected with this pain number, right? This newbie doctor injected my mouth in the wrong places twice. SO afterwards I have four (tooth was pulled, why I was there) in my mouth and I couldn't eat or feel my jaw.
-.-
Then, because my mom was paranoid, I had to get 15 holes in my back and 5 on my shoulder to see if I was allergic to something ( which I knew I wasn't ). Imagine having all those itchy pain filled holes in you and laying on your stomach for 45 minutes. BORING.

Needles ok - Blood bad.

As soon as I see the blood itself I feel faint, so I just don't look and I'm fine. Most docs/nurses I've had jam things into me knew what they were doing and it didn't hurt at all.. I only feel it when they take it out like an IV line.

But lideraly about 2 hours ago I got shots... They hurt for a bit, but I did not look at the needles. So it wasn't that bad.

When I was in the emergency room for cat scratch fever (yes, it's a real thing and I had it and was EXTREMELY sick) they tried to give me an IV in my wrist. I always thought IV's went in the top of your hand. Or at least that's what the show Scrubs has led me to believe. I don't like anything touching my wrist at all, so naturally, needles going in there = bad. Luckily, I talked those incompetent morons out of putting the IV in my wrist. Probably would have fainted if they did actually put it in my wrist. Whenever I accidentally get scratched by my cat on the wrist, I can't even look at it.

Is that a fear of needles or a fear of cat scratches? Even both!?

As for me, although i somtimes pricked myself nitting with a needle, I've never had a needle injected into me.... EVAR!

I don't take antibiotics, medicine, or pills. I just let the body heal me naturally. Some people might find it strange but that's how I've been brought up, and it's also apart of my religion... sorta....

Well, I'm afraid of ANYTHING sharp touching my wrist.

And there are a lot of people out there who believe in natural healing. I try not to take medicine unless absolutely necessary.

I'm not afraid of needles, but I've always had bad experiences with the people giving me the shots.

I remember one time, not even long ago, probably a year or two at most. Anyways, I remember going to the doctor, and I had to give my yearly test (you know, check your cholesterol and all that good stuff).

So, before I tell you the story I have to say that you can almost never see my veins in my left arm, but my right arm has the veins bulging out for some reason.

Anyways, it MUST of been this ladies first day, she was so nervous, she kept asking if I was going to be okay and I responded "Yeah I'll be fine, what about you?" of course I was saying it in a joking manner, anyways.

She injects the needle inside me, and she is literally wriggling the needle left and right looking for my vein for about 1 minute, and this is where it really started to irritate me, not only because it started to feel very awkward, but because she was NOT able to find my vein, I kept asking her to take the blood from the other arm but she wasn't having it, I kept asking her, getting more and more frustrated and she finally agreed and tried the other arm, we we're done in about 20 seconds.

Yeah, I've always had bad experiences with the actual people taking the blood.

Ironically this is a major phobia of mine... stuff going by the wrist like that. Even thinking about makes me grab my wrist and cringe.

LOL. You know, it's funny... Everyone who has met me, whether in person or on the internet, when hearing that story has said the same exact thing.

It's REALLY hard to get cat scratch fever, but I did have it, and it is no laughing matter. I was sick for about 3 months with it. The actual symptoms got better in two weeks or so, but I had a swollen lymph node for 2 or 3 months after I came down with it.

My brother has had to have six injections every day since he was two. Knowing that, I never complain whenever I have to have one.2009-09-17 18:45:00

0.0 doesn't he have a tube (forget the name) instead of just injecting? Also what requires these 'injections'.

If a person needs that many injections they tend to just have a tube going into their arm so you don't have to make a new hole.
