Lol, why does it say "By: Defcon01" in the corner? It's not nice to claim other peoples work... But still, good tutorial (whoever made it...)

Yes, this is Defcon01's tutorial! You could have added some kind of credit to him... otherwise you are basically stealing the work that Defcon01 made and put effort into. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Yeah you should totally give credit for this, I mean all it has at the moment is line of text saying "by defcon01" throughout the entire tutorial. Then when you link to the video it is on defcon01's youtube page and the title says "by defcon01". This is clearly not enough information, I'm still confused about who made it...[/sarcasm] To the posters above me, what else eactly do you want said other than "this was made by defcon01", which it already says? .

This is a great tutorial for anyone looking to make a simple elevator. I personally prefer doors in the thin layer in front that open and close to lock the player into that layer, rather than block left/right movement, but that's just me.

But BSprague, if the door is not fast enough the player might be able to drop out. Unless your elevator is in the front layer.

Maybe you should enter in that contest No, but putting doors in the thin layer works fine, as long as the trigger for the elevator is the doors themselves closing. Believe me, it takes a bit more safeguarding, but it looks and works nicer in-game.

Maybe you should enter in that contest It's way too basic. You get in, the doors shut, you go up 10 floors, the doors open. It's simple and clean, but it's not original or creative by any means. But more on-topic, I could actually make a tutorial on how to make the elevator the way I did, though it would have to use pictures rather than video because I don't have a capture card.
