I got hit by the unglue bug again earlier this evening, but this time I sussed out the cause of it. I tested my theory five times on different objects and got the same result every time...total collapse. You can see for yourself how it works by doing this... In pause mode, make an object from a number of smaller objects glued together. Simply glue a few cubes together if you like. On the thin layer behind your object, make any shape and glue it to the main object. (Here, if you unglue the thin shape again and then hit unpause, the main object should still be glued together, no worries.) Now take out your corner tool. Reposition the edges of the main object in such a way as to dislocate it entirely from the thin shape glued behind it. You should now be able to move the thin shape around independently even though you didn't actually unglue it. Hit unpause and the main object will collapse in a heap. To clarify, I'm not suggesting that this is the one and only cause of the unglue bug. There are most likely a number of ways in which you can be affected by it. However, it is one definite cause, and if you go through the motions I have described while building your objects or scenery, then you can expect certain disaster. Awesome if it's like the only way to do it. Before Cornish Yarg the unglue bug was a regular. Actually, I didn't even know this bug was still there. Never ever got it again after CY. .
