'Kay. So I've got this problem where whenever I drag a box around a large object so I can move it to another location, or copy it, it just about always glitches out and is there but not there (i.e., I can see the object, but Sackboy just falls through it, and I can no longer grab it, edit it, erase it, nothin&apos![]() Anyway I recently had a situation in which something I copied from a finished part of my new level glitched out at the point of origin without my knowledge. Next time I load up the level, I'm testing that spot and Sackboy fell through the ground. Great! I jury-rigged it with invisible dark matter, but still... Just wanted to see if anybody else has this problem and if there are any workarounds... | 2009-09-11 01:45:00 Author: Bercilak ![]() Posts: 117 |
You wouldn't happen to have a bunch of very tiny objects in this-level / these-levels, would you? | 2009-09-11 01:48:00 Author: Jagrevi ![]() Posts: 1154 |
This is a widely reported glitch, and currently there is no other solution than copying the level piece by piece to another spot on your moon, or moving the entire level so that the player can't see the glitched piece. | 2009-09-11 01:51:00 Author: BSprague ![]() Posts: 2325 |
I had a similar issue at one point - it turned out it was because an emitter unknowingly emitted tons of very tiny geometry down a crack - so it had "too many objects". When I went and deleted the hidden geometry, it never happened again. | 2009-09-11 02:01:00 Author: Jagrevi ![]() Posts: 1154 |
Hmmm. That's interesting. I'll check it out, but anything that is emitted continuously has a lifetime of, like, three seconds. I don't have tons of little rocks or anything for effects. Knowing that this is a widespread glitch does make me feel a little better, however...Well, not better, I guess, but maybe, er, consoled, that it isn't just me... | 2009-09-11 02:12:00 Author: Bercilak ![]() Posts: 117 |
