An Unfinished Level

Oh no no! Dont be silly! Its a level thats being made as you play it! Confused? Heres the backstory...

When you are in create mode are you building a level? Dont be silly thats only the blueprint! Its actually up to construction sacks to get the work done... So take a tour of a level being built!

It will be EPIC! Ill upload some concept art if I get a chance.

Sounds pretty cool I want to see sacks moving blocks around with their popits, and then deleting the platforms when you step on them Or tweaking emitters, so they start going faster/slower, etc.2009-09-10 03:22:00

To be fair - the thing that makes this level idea sound exciting IS the idea of the level being made with you present.

The idea of a level where you see things coming together - like say tiny thin mountains being moved into place on the back layer, etc, and having puzzles based on these situations is what makes this premise fantastic - especially if you then have to retrace what you've seen built and then "play the level" back to the scoreboard.

If you just do a construction site theme with the premise as a story - that's kind of selling the idea short.

Right. I mean, you do plan on the players being able to aid the little sack people with the construction of the level right? But then that begs the question, is the player an overseer of how the level will be developed, or are they just another sack minion scrambling to get their work done so that the level can be completed in time?2009-09-11 21:43:00

Maybe you're late to work, and you're trying desperately to get to your post before the sack manager catches you? I think it would be a nice ending to finally finish some task, and then end the level your goal fulfilled.2009-09-12 04:09:00

Try out the level "Simplexity". Everything literally falls into place around you. There isn't really a story, which I'm assuming is the main difference between this and that.

Itll probably take a while. Im working on another level at the moment + I sorta have to go to school. Ill get started In a week or so.

I just played Simplexity yesterday, and if this project is going to be even a little bit better than that, you can count me for support!!!

I do sack cutouts quite well (at my standards). Send me an invite on PSN and send me any stickers you need on cardboard

Alright.
The level will be divided into 5 parts.
1. LBPcentral Industries.
2. The Cave Part- Nearing Completion, needs to be decorated, Some parts aren't finished.
3. The Grasslands- Everything is being constructed! The Ground is being placed, the Trees are being parachuted (dont ask).
4. The Mansion- Being Constructed, Paintings are being placed, Vases are being moved ect.
5. The End- The return to LBPcentral Industries (The End)
