Usermade Sub-forums

Archive: 3 posts

I have absolutely no idea how these forums work or what's capable with them but i just thought i'd throw this suggestion out here

I thought it would be really nice if people could create their own sub-forums, kind of like threads containing other threads.

It'd be really useful for organising forum games or contests that have more than one round such as that film guessing thing that i remember from a while back.
Instead of squeezing together 2 rounds of a competition one after another or cluttering up the main forums with another thread they could contain another thread within the first one, and contain a new thread within the first (all containing threads could be listed above the first post).

Same for situations like when that guy was creating like 5 different threads to ask which games to get, he could just contain them within the first one!

Here's a pic of what i had in mind, although it's not exactly like what i described

Sorry, but no. With a forum this size, it would unnecessarily lengthen page load times, since each forum is loaded in some form regardless of whether or not you can actually see it. However, in vB 3.8x and above, Social Group discussions have threading capabilities. Once vB hits 4.0 (sometime this year or early next year) we're going to upgrade both of our sites to the new software, which will bring this feature to LBPCentral.2009-09-10 00:46:00
