Sackhoven's Moonlight Sonata by Robalabob

Archive: 18 posts

I dont normally enjoy the music levels as much but this was REALLY well made.

The rendition of Moonlight Sonata is second-to-none but slightly speeded up.

The back drop to the level really helps improve the feel of the piece as u travel through an eerie setting.

Its been published for 9 months and only had 700 (ish) plays.

I would compare this to the music level Spirited Away, it comes across in a very similar style.

However, it may have appealed more to me because it was a piece that i've wanted to play on the piano for AGES!

Play, sit back and listen to the beautiful music!

5 STARS from ME!

Gave it a try. The scenery was nice if somewhat repetitive. You can tell they put a lot of work into the level. The constant clicking noise was a little distracting. And the chair started taking me backwards through the level before I realized what was going on. But the music was right on key and very relaxing.

All in all, a wonderful music level.

Right after the guy made that level I suggested he should make some lightning effects and sounds in the background. That'd be cool. I haven't played it lately so I don't know if he ever added it but I don't think he did.2009-09-12 22:12:00

hey peeps, just got my account sorted, cheers ladylyn1 for the recomendation and to basketcase, i did think that was a great idea for the level and i actually attempted it but ran into problems, one being that the level was too full for much else, i could have sorted it but got sucked into some new projects lol. for those interested im working on a few levels at the mo,

2 music levels including the turkish march ( the lemmings song lol) and le onde (if no one has heard this masterpiece then check it out, its stunning.)

le onde i think means the sea or the waves so expect some water based foolery for that one

other than that i have a new disaster level based around aliens which im having trouble with at the moment - mostly due to the fact that 12 hours worth of work went down the pan because LBP didnt record about 50 saves i made - but will be due out soon. on that note id like to say to anyone that has already played one of my non music levels..... dont be put off, i have a good feeling about this one and there are some good effects i have been working on,

thanks again for all your comments, i will and always will take them into account

Wooo long time ago since we exchanged some messages. Like over a year ago. When you first made the level. It's one of those levels that I won't forget. Perfect setting for a perfect tune.2009-09-19 00:05:00

i think i wasa sack person once as well, although the game does get on my nerves a bit. ive been making levels and designing way before little big planet and have got used to the fact that there will always be bugs but its when LBP gets rid of a whole days work without a second glance that does my nut in. i was only a few tweaks from publishing the level and i swear to god i wanna cry lol. i think its more of a love hate thing though because i cant live without playing it now.

long live LBP
