Why are accounts suspended?

Account suspension occurs when an account is flagged for suspicious activity. One or more of these things may cause an account to be suspended:

* Technical Abuse

How do I find out why my account was suspended, or get account suspension lifted?

Submit a request: your ticket will be submitted to Twitter Support and we'll email you a ticket confirmation. Accounts may be suspended for a minimum of 30 days for research. This is an automated response to share reasons why Twitter suspends accounts for spam/abuse investigation.

Please visit your own profile page to make sure you're actually suspended and not viewing another person's suspended profile page-- many people think they are suspended when they aren't. You'll know you're suspended if you log in and see a red notice announcing your suspension on your account.

If you are suspended, it's most likely for one or more of these reasons::

User Abuse
* a large number of people block the profile or write in with spam complaints
* aggressive following
* imbalanced ratio: the number of followers is small compared to number of people following
* misuse of the reply feature
* updates consist of duplicate links and/or text
* updates consist mainly of links and not personal updates
* updates consist of updates poached from others' timelines, passed off as one's own

Technical Abuse
* updates consist of links pointing to phishing sites, malware, or other harmful material
* a large number of accounts is created in a short amount of time
* an account is identified as belonging to a spam cluster

When this happens, we suspend the account for investigation and hide the contents from the public view in order to remove the cause of complaint.

It's important to us that the Twitter community receives only the content they'd like to receive. While we do welcome feed-based accounts, we discourage aggressive following and other tactics that will alarm people.

You can try Facebook, Bebo, Myspace, Friendster

Well... now this is just a thought... (and please understand that I am trying to help - perhaps not with your immediate problem, but help you overall).

Out of 5,840 registered members here on LBPC (1,052 of them, active), there are 3 (three) members with a negative reputation rating. Of those 3, yours is the lowest at -28.

Perhaps you just need to re-think your approach to these social networking sites. Think about the manner in which you post and the demeanor that you project in those interactions.

It's just a thought. I personally have nothing against you and have never given out negative rep, but I can't help noticing the coincidence and (dare I say?) irony of this.

I lol'ed. Friendster seems full of stalkers, bebo's boring, myspace and facebook.. is just not really me.
