I thought about putting this is Reccommendations, but then I realized that I wouldn't ever reccommend this to anyone. A few weeks ago I came across a lag level that involves you grabbing a piece of dissolve to slow down your PS3 system. Boring right? Been done before right? Well, maybe not... This level, "lag button!", isn't any ordinary lag level. Once you enter and grab the dissolve, the frame rate drops to about a frame every 3 or so seconds, and a few piano sounds play. Then a few seconds later the screen goes blank and the system stops responding completely. No buttons, not even the PS button do anything. So I turned it off by hand and noticed it took a few seconds longer than usual to shut down, not to mention it didn't beep 3 times, telling you a program froze up. That was really weird. When I turned the PS3 back on, however, everything worked fine past that. I don't know about you, but I'm not grabbing that dissolve ever again. I might lose some data on the HDD or something, who knows. But for anyone who wants to try it, backup your save and stuff first, jut in case. Then of course, tell us what happened. But to the point, what could've possibly caused this? I'm thinking too many sound being played at once. It's crazy. I can't really explain it.

I played a lag button level a while ago...it was trippy, but it certainly didn't crash the system... Weird.

That's not the same level. The icon is like an arm-shaped black thing on a blank background. The description says '"get a 'virus' in your PS3"

Well, think realistically. There have been 0 viruses ever written for the PS3 and getting a "virus" from a game server is highly unlikely.
