What about a system that randomly puts older levels back on the cool level pages. Say, you've published a level a month ago and enjoyed your seven day chance of being featured on the cool level pages but for whatever reason you didn't manage to stay there very long and as result only have a hundred plays (that is what some people consider a lot, even people that make very good levels). Now, you've spend a good part of your spare time building this level, you are very proud of it, but seeing that you only got a minuscule amount of plays left you very much disappointed. Wouldn't it be cool to know that some day your level will reappear on the front page, giving you a new chance to get feedback and plays? In my opinion that would be very good. So my idea is to have your seven days as you do now, but added to that is a system that randomly picks levels every week or so to re-emerge from the depth and enjoy a few days under the sun. There would probably need to be some sort of cut-off limit, because once you have say 10000 plays you are probably are on the most played pages and highest rated pages anyway and thus don't need to be featured again on the first page.

It's interesting. I think any system that gives more coverage to the sub-500 plays levels is a good idea and I think 1000 plays is easily high enough to consider you've had a good run and don't need a boost (when compared with others). Although despite there being a lot of sub-500 plays levels that really deserve 10s of thousands, there are a hell of a lot more that really don't*. Maybe 4 star plus levels, with decent heartslays but don't have many plays could be the ones that are randomly selected? *not a nice way to put it, but I'm too lazy to rephrase. .

There are levels that have easily surpassed 10,000 plays, though. Albeit, most of them are survival or score challenges...
