Greetings! (From Texas)

Archive: 17 posts

I've been checking around this site for a couple weeks now, and thought I'd finally get into the community a bit. The name's Stroyer. People call me Mark. I came up with the name several years back for CoD, and I wanted something that was like a real name, was unique, yet had a game-name type of twist to it without being overly so (you know what I'm talking about). So yes, I know it's cheesy, but I can be, too, so it works out well.

At any rate, I'm definitely looking forward to LBP. From all I've read, seen, and heard, there's no doubt it's going to be a stellar game. I have not YET preordered it, but once I get my old PS2 lineup to GameStop, I will.

Also, yes, I'm from Texas. No, I do not have an accent. Sorry to disappoint.

So I'm looking forward to helping with the community any way I can.

I think so. Unfortunately, it's also kinda LONG, and so in some places, like my PSN ID, for example, I've had to shorten it. But pretty much, I use it as my ubiquitous online alias. And have ever since CoD came out.2008-09-16 05:03:00

Yeah, just for future reference, it's Stroyer. Or Mark. Depends on how well you know me.

Speaking of guns...heh... No, nothing anti-armor. But I DO have six rifles that served in WWII, including three from WWI. (And let me tell you, the Lee-Enfield is a TIGHT gun. Plus, the fastest bolt-action in history and the only to be mistaken for a machine gun.) They all shoot, it's just that you don't actually want to shoot some of them. (Ammo's expensive, they're carbines and kick like a horse, etc.) So that answer your question?

All Texans have an accent even if we don't think we do. Welcome.

Btw, I'll settle for my SKS.

Well, I know what you're saying. And actually...I don't. At the most, very slight traces from time to time when I slip up with something. Believe me, I've checked it, and it comes out as "no accent". Probably due to the fact that my parents aren't from Texas, and I value accuracy in words.

Oh, and good gun. Just got a trigger job on it back, although haven't shot it to see how it handles, now. Also replaced it with a plastic pistol-grip stock. Makes the safety weird to pull around, but helps accuracy a ton.
