Tomorrow will be my first day of High school and I'm kind of excited and feeling sick at the same time...

Just saying.

Um, US high school...so...um you're 15? "Grade...12"?

At any rate, you'll be fine, trust me, everyone gets worried and everything's usually fine.

Your workload just increases by a bit.
And trust me... you might think it's alot of work now.... but when you get to your last year of school... woooooow!

Also the educational system is corrupt.... just saying...

Ha, 3-day weekend for me. I'm already in school though. . High school's not as bad as TV makes it seem, don't worry.2009-09-06 12:23:00

As already said, you should be fine. I actually like high school more then I liked primary school. Most people usually worry just before starting in a new school, but they're fine by when the time comes.2009-09-06 12:58:00

Probably because you have no freedom in primary?
All the teachers look down on you like you're stupid, they don't listen to you, and they just tell you what to do without even explaining why.

"Teacher, why do we have to learn calculus? "
"Because i told you to!"

*shiver* I never want to go back to Primary School EVER AGAIN.

Freshman. D:

In my school Freshman are the only ones who don't get off campus lunch.

Good thing for me I'll be a Senior come this Tuesday (when my school starts).

I think it's way better than middle school and say elementary school. At least it is with off campus lunch.

I had 3 off periods last year (meaning I could do anything for those 3 periods). I had it first second and sixth (there are 9 40 minute periods). So I got to go in at 9 instead of 7:30 (AM of course). And now I have 8th everyday and I have 9th off every other day (because I have gym then). So every other day I can go home at about 12:40 instead of 2:15 (PM).

Gonna be sweet.

snowyjoe, I'm actually doing IB, in fact it was only recently instated at my school - so recently that my year will be the first to study for the IB instead of A-levels. So it's probably going to be a fiasco (we start next year.)2009-09-06 21:30:00

Good luck dawesbr, you're gonna need it.

Remember to actually do your essays and projects when they're given out, because if you leave them to the last minute... they just pile up. Pray for a good Theory of Knowledge teacher (trust me, it makes a HUGE difference) and above all... stay on-top of your community and service times.....

IB isn't the hardest system.... but they do dump you with ALOT of paper work and assignments. They think you're some sorta 24hour studying machine or something

Also... there are many holes and work arounds in the IB.... USE THEM! They aren't illegal or anything they just want to make your life alot harder by being a "proper" student.

Its a hard and steep hill... but once you're over it and got a good grade in it, it's all down hill in university! (honestly, the scholarships and advantages you get are amazing!)
