Can you tell that I had more plans for the bees that I never managed to figure out an easy way to do?

Oh well, I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Sweet jesus! Another one already?

Well, this series has become one of my ultimate favorites, so I guarantee a play tomorrow morning.

Interesting time to post though, as most people are heading off to sleep (if they aren't out already)...

Played it and loved it. I normally don't play multiplayer, but I brought a friend with me and we had a blast. I was more used to your platforming action, so I had much less trouble than he did. These whole big/small areas were very well handled. Not much else to add, as it was the usual OH NO!!! Goodness.

One thing that stood out for me was the amazing final boss. It is quite a challenge, but is not ever frustrating. I don't know where you got the idea, but it was awesome. On the other hand, people like rtm hate those spin flings (as he claims), so might be a bit annoyed. I don't have a problem with them, so no issues for me.

I also noticed that you have made your own king. It looks great. Are you going to switch out the story mode king from the other levels now?

Well, anyways, keep it up! How many are you planning?

:star::star::star::star::star: and 15 hearts.

I'm planning 8 levels; one for each world in Super Mario Brothers 3.

As for the tiny King, that is the work of my roommate, so I will pass along your compliments. I won't be using it again, I don't think... unless the King gets miniaturized again for some reason!

i just played the whole series so far...and have a headache. but it was worth it. i like the oldstyle mario gameing with a lbp twist its way original. The dialogue is always worth reading and the wheels of death are kind of a crack up cause there so simple yet challenging. took me a long time to get threw these as i died alot. but otherwise five stars and heart

Haha, I loved this one! The whole, Big then little idea was amazing! It really felt like something that would be in a real game! The only problem with this level I had was that you lied to us... you said everything was big, but the points weren't!

I found the boss actually simple, and I only died after I had killed it because of the random pop-up arrows that caught my attention.

I can bet that space will be a great level as well! 5 stars and an heart.

I got stuck in the temple Why do puzzles in LBP always have to tax my brain so much???? Lol, that was probably the funniest moment in any of your levels, absolutely loved it. Sarasm and satire never fail to impress .

Another great level, strongly tied into the preceding ones, visually and conceptually, but with a shift in gameplay focus to keep it fresh - I have been worrying that you might struggle to keep each level in the series distinct in terms of gameplay, but I'm pretty sure you're doing fine here.

One thing I do love about your levels is that they really grow with replay. It's not just a case of learning individual parts of the level, it's more getting a feel for the level overall, and adapting my play style to what the level demands. Hence going from a initial score of ~800 to ~7000 from first to third run through. Do you know roughly what max score is (I'm guessing around 12-13k)?

Anyway, :star::star::star::star::star: and I forgot to heart it but I will do later. YOu've probably already got a creator heart from em as well. If you get a chance, I would quite like to see what you think of Subterranean Setbacks.

Wow, these levels just keep on coming. And as usual this one is top notch. The expected classic platofrming is superbly done. Nice empahsis on grabbing in this one, great stuff.

Boss is the usual, but I think I liked the twist on this one more than your others.
Of course the humour is perfectly done....
Creator heart for you

You really nailed the difficulty. I restarted when I died a bit early, hoping I would ace the level, but then I died a bunch of times in the later part. The gameplay is so good I want to replay the other parts right away and I will probably do that with every level you release. Totally awesome installment. Stylish and funny as always. So according to my comments on the level, there's potential for a HUGE glitch after you defeat the boss... After you kill it, it can fall down and destroy the spinning fruits, rendering the level unbeatable before it vanishes. I thought I'd fixed it by having emitters create dark matter blockades for the wheel to land on.

I'm assuming the glitch happens when the player is occupying the space where one of the blockades is supposed to emit. D'you suppose just adding a few more blockades would fix it?

Thanks for the comments, everyone - and let me know if there's anything you want me to play! This is F4F after all

It's my daily fix of platforming goodness Loved it.

+ humor is great
+ colors are fantastic
+ great flow and challenge
+ big & small world - fantastic
+ boss is cool - I like the back and forth strategy make you feel all athletic.

I can't get enough of this series. Just lovely. Keep 'em coming! 5 stars, hearted and I hearted you as a creator ages ago.

About the "glitch" couldn't you attach a brain to some dissolve, then connect via string the brain to the boss. when the boss is destroyed, the same system you have drop it down (in terms of the sensor that triggers it) sets off a timed switch (just enough to go out of view of the player - then triggers the dissolve block - whole boss should vanish then and not take out the platforms..... right? Experiment first as I've only done this sort of technique once and had to fiddle with it to get it to work right.

Just emit the spinning wheels. They will emit once and then block new emitting, but assuming they are connected to dark matter, when the wheel breaks, it should re-emit over the dark matter once the space is clear. But don't hold me to that, you might need something a little more complex.

Just played this, loved it! My favorite part was "...In your current normal state the path through this fortress will be long and arduous!" The timing on those Fruits-O-Death was tough, by the way. But not annoying-tough, more like delightfully challenging.2009-09-06 20:45:00

Another nice addition to the series. In all honesty, probably my least favourite but still a great level. Played it earlier and going to play it through again now as I write this so the praise/criticisms are fresh in my mind...

The start with the spinning bolts is excellent, especially when you're going down in between the spikes.

The creature after the very first spinning spiky purple fruit is a bit small and as a result a tad fiddly for me. It's nothing major but just detracts from the 'wow this level is hard but never frustrating' feeling. Especially when there's spinning spikes above you that you hit when you bounce off. Just edges it over to the frustrating side.

I really like the red sponges on bolts and then going to purple because they're solely down your judgement. However yellow to purple I wasn't that keen on, while of course it's still down to you to judge and no ones fault but yours if you get it wrong. It just feels a little too hard to judge and like there's an element of luck involved, for that reason again could push on the side of frustrating for a few people.

Not a big fan of the cave material, in my opinion it just doesn't really fit with the cartoony whimsical nature of the series. It feels a little too 'realistic' and 'life like'.

Great variation on the boss yet again. Be interesting to see if you can keep it fresh for the whole 8 levels! A tiny thing, but the checkpoint for the boss, it's at the opposite end of the platform to it, how about moving it into the centre? Just so you haven't got as far to run but still have enough room to get your leap sorted I know it's a very small nitpick but I can just envisage people dying a lot on the last bit and it may help to keep the frustration down a little.

I know this is quite a downbeat bit of feedback but I truly believe I am probably the biggest fan of this series. It is fantastically refreshing and I think you may have become a victim of your own success with your first 3 levels with me I'm expecting ridiculously amazing things from it!

Definitely a worthy addition. I rated it 5 stars and a heart (if I wasn't such a massive fan of the series I probably would have given it 4 stars. but on the whole it is amazing and I want them all to get the recognition they deserve).

Thank you once again, and hope you don't mind the criticism/suggestions

As for F4F, I have no idea if you've played any of my levels, but I'd love it if you could give any of them a go and tell me what you think

Went to play this earlier, go as far as the mountain/volcano/cave bit, then I got booted back to the XMB for some reason. Tried again and got to the boss, same thing happened.

Luckily the third time everything was fine and I managed to complete the level. But I think with any other level, I would probably not have bothered immediately restarting once, let alone twice. I wasn't frustrated or annoyed that I had to do the same bits three times, it was even more enjoyable as I kept revisiting them. I think I might even go and play all four levels again from start to finish right now, they're all just so good.

One little thing that I would like to have seen is a few more point bubbles. I love the secret areas with stacks of them, but the placement of them throughout the rest of the level seems a bit weird. There's usually a row of them and then no more for a couple of minutes. Maybe spread them out a bit, stick a few on some platfroms, etc... This is one series of levels where I really want to collect loads of points, but there's not a regular supply.

My favourite thing about the levels (and the previous three) is still the humour. I loved the ridiculously hard puzzle in the temple, and the King's revised comment when you shrink back to normal size.

If I could give it six stars, then I would. A deserved heart, and I just hope these levels get the recognition they deserve.

Loved it, and unlike some others this was probably my favorite one in the series... the platforming was right up my alley.

Couple little opinions:

1. Near the beginning on one of the round things you grab to swing (near the end of the first part) I couldn't see that there were spikes below me - it looked kind of like I could go somewhere if I dropped straight down. So I dropped... and there were spikes. Maybe adjust the camera angle in this spot.

2. Could have used some more point bubble combos. Just a bit. But, that's subjective and probably didn't affect my overall feeling of the level.

Great job! 5 stars and a heart. Love this series.

CaptainCoyboyHat................. I Think I Love you.

But seriously it was so good I wanted to cry. Visuals were cute. Another great variation on gameplay. Another level that ramps up in difficulty well. Another great concept- Growing was fantastically done, shrinking was hilarious. Another great level in one of the best series of LBP.

With all of that you have a great 5 star level, but that is not all.

The humor is great. Hilariously cunning. The Kings snarky remarks, Just brilliant. This is got to bee the reason the series is so fantastic.

I saw this was up and I ran over to my PS3. I hearted it, then played it, and I was completely right in doing so. Everything was up to par with the series, the humor was top-notch, the platforming was fantastic, and I'm still looking how to get that second point store you have dangled in my face. The wheel of death makes a return which was great, and the transition between big, little, and normal worlds was a great touch. Overall, it's a :star::star::star::star::star: level, but you already knew that, didn't you? 2009-09-07 03:19:00

Another excellent addition to the series. You really capture old-school type platforming perfectly, using the one plane design, and the type of obstacles you use. I'd say it was the weakest of the series, but still an outstanding level, which shows what I think of the others.

Challenging and rewarding, I gave 5* and heart

You already know what I think of your levels. They are amazing and funny in equal measures. And they sure are funny.

This time, I sure enjoyed the way the platforming was made; those simple yet effective rotating fruits were a highlight to me.

Thanks for sharing, your levels make my day!
