Hey guys! I'm finally here making this thread after months of work and talking about this level I am happy to present to you....Time Traveler: The Past!

You are a time soldier working at a new H.Q where soldiers are sent out to retrieve artifacts for a "plan"......you are Time soldier 99 and your job is to go into the past and explore a tribal temple which is empty.....the whole tribe has been wiped out but the artifact is protected by many traps and puzzles.

I don't want to spoil it for you but I'm sure you will know that there will be a part 2 ....

Also there are some strange things you notice but you will learn that some things are meant to be there but it will all be revealed once the sequel is complete.

Checked it out the other day and enjoyed it. It's got some cool stuff going on in and some stuff I think you could improve on.

Couple things I liked are:

The story is good and I'm guessing in the sequel you'll explain a bit more about why they are after these artifacts.

The crystals are a cool idea for stuff to find.

I like the geometric pattern inset in the walls and that you have contrasting materials to make interesting details and decoration. I do wish you had more of this as there are long walkways without any decoration in them.

Some things I didn't like so much are:

The 2x puzzle - great concept but it takes too long to get through and there's no big payoff for the time invested in completing it. I'd suggest huge bubble payoff or make it only 4-6 circles total.

The scale. I don't have a problem in general with levels that are big and make sackboy look small. In fact it's a great way to make a landscape more believable sometimes. In this case though I think the temple might be better suited to a smaller scale. The way you have the rising part where the player weaves back and forth through the layers is really cool but since you can't see more than one area at a time the effect is sort of lost. Just a more claustrophobic, cramped and burried feeling would help with how I perceived the level but that's just my opinion.

While most of the level is very cleanly designed and nicely polished for rough edges, it's still feeling a bit undone to me. I can't tell if it's that there aren't very many set pieces to fill in the empty walls (like vines, masks, cracks, crumbling bits of masonry and rocks) or that the stuff you do have feels a bit generic. Most of the stuff is just straight up decorations without a lot of personalization. A good example of where you got this right is the square in square motif on the wall. Very unique design that I haven't seen on many levels so it helps make the level feel like it's something special and not just another level with the occasional bit of bone or weeds.

I'm sorry if that's a bit harsh but I've seen some of your other work and I know you are capable of the level of design I'm talking about here. I'm not trying to slam your style in this level just giving my opinion for what could make it more interesting and engaging. Currently I've rated this one 4 stars and think it's a good level for playing but I think you've got more you can do with this one and the sequel. I'm looking forward to it.

Haha no problem feedback is always good but the reason is that well you know......thermo. Lol I am going to make part two very interactive and the story will be explained a bot deeper to help understand....I was going for a "what am I doing here and why am I doing this" feeling for a purpouse but I guess I should have seen that it won't work out so well.
