Sackboy's Journey Through Hellkinjodourden
After awakening in the rain, you discover you are dead and are thrown into hell. Not ready to die, you navigate your way through hell hoping for a way out. Friendly, tormented spirits try to help you escape while evil spirits try to prolong your suffering.

Could not finish the level. After pulling the glowing "key" to where some explosions were happening, I died and respawned down below the grab elevator. Going back up the elevator was now impossible as the door was sealed.

Definitely a good effort for a first level. You definitely have an idea, but now just need to refine your level.

Let me know if you fix the part I mentioned and I will take a more detailed look at this level.

If this is really your first level, I'm gonna have to watch out for you in the future! I think that overall it was good, but it still needs some refining. The design and atmosphere are good, but you still need to work in technical details. First, I fell there should be more checkpoints throughout the level. Some flying things kept killing me and I spawned very far back. Kinda frustrating. Also, the same thing that happened to the person above, happened to me. Try fixing those things and you'll be good. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with next. Keep'em coming.2009-09-07 00:23:00

Okay, I just got done playing this here are my notes:

PROS
+ Very beginning was great - loved the tomb stones and realizing your name is on one of them.
+ Nice atmosphere and use of materials - especially for a first level
+ Some well designed platforming

CONS
- Little rising spikes near the beginning looked odd - maybe have them on material... spikes very rarely look good rising by themselves.
- On text boxes - use proper english of people may not take your level seriously - so the word "you" instead of "u".
- After the text that says "Ware traveler...." there are a bunch of visible switches and emitters and such. It is POSSIBLE to make these look good while visible if laid out nicely, but these looked kind of random. Making them invisible will look better.
- TOTALLY agree with "Javi Haguse" about the checkpoints - there was a specific area where you had the spinning wheels you had to go through - which was difficult.... but right after you had the sponge grab part which was ALSO difficult with no checkpoint in between. And only a normal checkpoint before.... AND it was pretty far into the level. I died here and did not start over.

I felt it was a 3 star level - I put a 5 on it because I totally think 2 star is unfair.... but I can see how it can happen if players die in the middle on a difficult part.

Nice job!

Have you added more checkpoints to it yet? I'm wondering because I'm wanting to play it before you put more checkpoints in it. Don't get me wrong, I would still play it even if you added more checkpoints.

Hopefully you don't put more checkpoints in it. Then again, I can see why you would to appeal to a larger audience rather than just advanced platformists, or us expert platformists. Just me being curious.

So, first I want to thank you for your feedback in my thread "The Forgotten Tomb Of Memsut". And here we go with the F4F

I tried your level today and I really like what I saw. I had fun while playing and the story-telling elements fits into this level very well. I noticed some mag-keys that are still visible - maybe you can fix this issue.

But I also noticed a big issue: When I grab the ghost-key and move to the right, a stone blocked the way down and so I'm able to move on. But: I broke this ghost key a little bit later (I carried it with me because I thought that it might be helpfull later in that section - maybee I was wrong) and that inciddent happend before I was able to activate a checkpoint. As a result I respawnt "before" the section with the ghost-key and it wasn't nice to see that the stone still blocked my way over my head: so I have to restart that level. Here I suggest a solution that removes the stone from there so the player is able to pass...

Neverthless you did a good job on that level.

Hello there!

I have played your level as a F4F member and here are my comments:

+ nice beginning ,very atmospheric with the lightning and the tombstone

you have some nice gameplay here as well for your first level. Only thing that bothered me was as stated above that there were not enough check points.

+ the fact that I couldn't finish the level because at a certain moment you have to hold on to an angel or some sort and it flies way too quick to catch it.

I had no other choice than to give you 2 stars because I couldn't finish the level but overall it's great work for a first try.

If you correct the last issues it will be a 3 star level and I'll gladly replay it and re-rate 3 stars :-)

F4F pick one of my subject levels, thanks !

If you stand on the platform above the R1 sign (may have to look for it, it's a lil hard to see for some); just hold R1. You do not have to jump. If your standing in the right spot, you'll grab him as he emits

The R1-Sign that indicates where I've had to grab wasn't a problem to me - it was very obvious what to do and I liked that scene.2009-10-01 20:01:00

I played through the level until I got to the part with the spinning wheels over the blue gas and spikes where I lost all my lives. That part was a bit too hard to time when to let go of the spinning wheels, maybe adjust the speed or something. I also noticed emitters and switches not made invisible. Overall I think the level looked really nice especially for a first level. Good use of sound effects and lighting. It was way better than my first one.2009-10-03 23:48:00
