LBP GOTY help...
Archive: 12 posts
I know that ther are no plans to release goty in euroupe but I really want it bad so I've decided to order it over seas. Some PS3 games are region locked though so if anyone knows now or when they get the game can they tell me? Also is the free dlc included on the disc or is it codes for the psn shop? No need to reply yet as I'm sure not many or no people know the answer as of yet but keep this thread in mind if you find out. Thanks -RT4 | 2009-09-05 09:23:00 Author: RobbieT_4 Posts: 77 |
Sorry this doesn't answer your question but Huh?!? Is this true? I told my friend to wait sa the GOTY ed should be coming out soon, looks like he'll have a long time to wait! | 2009-09-05 16:05:00 Author: Dhawken Posts: 96 |
Something painful for you though: Any futur DLC you will buy, you will need to buy it from an American for it to work with your American copy. . | 2009-09-05 19:27:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

Ouch, that's a bummer, Oh well I guess I'll make a new account to play the 18 levels... Thanks anyway Yeah it's a bummer. Most DLC is region exclusive though. It's not just LBP. . | 2009-09-05 23:36:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
According to Play-asia.com, the GOTY edition is not region locked. The dlc will still be though, So you'll need access to the American store. | 2009-09-05 23:50:00 Author: BassDeluxe Posts: 984 |
Are the 18 levels new or just ones from the online store? I thought that they were just the top 18 levels that people have made and put them with the disc so that they can be played offline?!? Does that mean that those 18 creators got to create another level for MM? | 2009-09-06 14:19:00 Author: Dhawken Posts: 96 |

Does that mean that those 18 creators got to create another level for MM? I think the 18 levels were made (by some of the best community creators) specially for the GOTY edition. They probably can be played offline. | 2009-09-06 14:25:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
Wow, that must be great to know that you are one of the best 18 creators in the world | 2009-09-06 14:28:00 Author: Dhawken Posts: 96 |
According to Play-asia.com, the GOTY edition is not region locked. There are NO PS3 games that are region-locked. You can buy a PS3 game from anywhere in the world and it will play on your PS3. You just have to make sure that you purchase all of your DLC from the same region that you bought the disc. For example, if you got a game from Japan, you have to buy DLC for it from the Japanese PSN Store. I have a PAL version of Killzone 2 that works fine on my PS3, the DLC just needs to be purchased from the European PSN Store. | 2009-09-06 20:45:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |

It's just that it's not particularly encouraged by Sony but they aren't preventing it in their guidelines. I'm sure there are games out there that are locked even if rare. . | 2009-09-07 01:12:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

I'm not aware of any retail releases that are region-locked though, so until one pops up, it's safe to say that you can go on eBay, buy a game, and not worry about were it's coming from. | 2009-09-07 01:15:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
