Beta test my new (and first!) level?
Archive: 4 posts
Think this right place to ask this - does anyone mind testing my new level "The Creature Reactor"? Been reading around the site and I think I've done this right - I've put up a "key level" (PSN: MrC) which has the code "red-white-black". Pop it in using the wheel-things and get the key. Play the level, and pop me any feedback here - hope I got the concept!?! Its a score challenge - I'm between 50-90% through half a dozen levels which been pottering about with for a good 6 months and decided to choose something simple, actually finish it for once and take the plunge. So, honesty especially appreciated with it being a first try which I'm happy to get some help on. Part 2 of this post is a couple of questions around publishing my level unlocked. Assuming I get some feedback, and I make some changes, do I just republish over it? If I do, how do I ensure I don't lose any ratings, etc - is it literally a case of not changing the level title? Can I change the description? And to unlock it, do I just set my local copy to unlocked and publish over it or do I do it on "my levels"? Should I edit it direct from "my levels" or from my local copy? I think all of those part 2 questions will probably be a short simple answer - just wanted to give some sense of my confusion around this brave new littlebig world. PS: If got the key level concept wrong - either the principal, or set it up wrong and it doesn't work, shout up!!! | 2009-09-03 23:46:00 Author: Unknown User |

Sure i'll try it, i'm happy to even help you if you like in anything. I also have troubles in making levels if that is what you was saying. | 2009-09-05 09:06:00 Author: Zombie_2442_Kila Posts: 2 |
Thanks guys. Yeah, if I listed my troubles we'd be here all day. My main problem is knowing when "its ok" and stopping. I've long since recognised I am never going to be artistic/intricate, have crazy logic, beautiful lighting, imaginative ideas, etc. Just want something fun that works. Well, most importantly, that it works - hate the thought of publishing something where it breaks. Anyhow, any feedback welcome! | 2009-09-05 09:37:00 Author: Unknown User |
