Which is better? Fallout 3 GOTY Version or Prototype?:hero: HELP!

I've played Fallout, and it was fantastic! I haven't played Prototype, but from what I've seen, it doesn't look better.

I've not played fallout 3 yet. Or the previous two for that matter. I might pick it up much later when it's found dirt cheap. Just because I have enough games to play.

Well Fallout 3 GOTY isn't available yet so maybe buy Prototype? The basic Fallout 3 game is fantastic and probably the best game I have ever played after MGS4.

Hands down, Fallout 3. I've had about 3 games on it, and I'm still finding out new locations, hidden stories, and new ways to play. Even if it had the same playtime as prototype, it's way less repetitive. Perhaps one important thing to note is that after 50 hours playtime, you'll only do around 25 quests, because every quest is highly detailed, in-depth and long.

^ + from what I've heard each of the 5 expansions included with the GOTY edition lasts 4-6 hours so theres another 20-30 hours gameplay.

Well fallout really doesn't last THAT long on the PC. Not saying its bad, as I liked it. But if you are getting it for the PS3 once you beat the game, and the quick expansions. (Yes, the expansions are quick. About and hour to 2 hours for except for Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta, as I haven't played them.) PC has mods, mods equals never ending fun. But Prototype is great too. I'd probably choose Fallout 3, but Prototype is just as worthy.

I'm with everyone else here. Prototype is a lot of fun, there's no doubt about it. But Fallout 3 is a far deeper, richer, better game in nearly every way. Prototype's a fun way to kill a bit of time, play for just a little bit, flying around just creating havoc and karate-kicking helicopters out of the sky. You should rent it. But buy Fallout.

Both were fun, but I had a longer experience with Skate 2. If you liked the first, go for skate 2. I didn't have as much fun with resistance 2 as I did with the first, but the online coop is crazy fun (assuming anyone is still playing).

I only played the demo of Resistance 2, and it was decent enough. I have skate 2, and I love it. If you love watching people smash their skulls into the pavement and have a few friends to play it with, I'd say Skate is the better option. Otherwise, it's pretty much down to which genre you prefer.

Resistance 2 Pros: *If you love killing aliens and blowing up heads with ESP,then this is your game! *Many players play this game.So do the math,Players+Guns+You=Total Epic Pwn War! *The story is terrific!If it's not a movie,then I will never understand Hollywood. Skate 2 Pros: *Seeing skaters faceplant the concrete makes you feel better about yourself. *Graphics are so detailed,you forget your not watching a skateboarding show,that is until you crash. *Skate 3 please! Cons: *It gets really repetitive,and I mean really repetitive. *Not much to do online,except watch players fall(ha ha)! *If only you can push people in front of cars,but then that'll be Grand Theft Auto IV. *Controls are...complicated. It really depends on what you are looking for in a game. Online play, clearly Resistance 2. If you are looking more "open-world", then Skate 2 is probably a better choice. I have Resistance 2, but I've played both extensively, and it's Resistance 2 hands down for me.

FAR CRY 2 BY FAR. because although final fantasy may be famous worldwide, in farcry 2 you can set GRASS on fire, AND blow up a ROW of cars if there lined up. plus, after 14 freaking final fantasys, im sick of them.

I haven't played R2 but i've played Skate and wasn't too impressed. It does seem to sacrifice fun for realism a little bit. I hate games like R2 but i'd probably still recommend it over Skate 2 xD

I've havn't bought either. But from what i've heard and seen, Bioshock has an amazing story and Mirrors Edge feels a little 'samey'. If it was my decision i'd get Bioshock. Have you played the Mirror's Edge demo? After playing that twice I felt it was enough for me and I didn't need the full game.

Prototype gets boring verrry quickly because it has mini games for side missions and the single player has a very weak story. Free roam wise you can go anywhere but there is no incentive to. Fallout 3 is amazing... If you can get it on pc then do so because you'll find it much better than console. Mods, mods and more mods; seriously there must be thousands of great ones. Fallout 3 is such a lovely game to mod and after going round DC with 3 different overhauls you can see how the game can be kept fresh over and over. Plus when you get a glitch in game you can just use console commands to get around it whereas on a console you'd be stuck. With Bethesda RPG's (TES + Fallout) always get pc if you can.

I've nver played RE: 5 but i really enjoyed InFamous, sorta like prototype, except you have to pick a side to fight for. you know like good or evil, and the platforming in InFamous gets a bit tedious after awhile. it's not like in Prototype where you can just run up buildings.

Definetivly Bioshock, i got bored of mirrors edge after like 3 hours. The story isn't very interesting at all..... The gameplay is unique thought, which is nice for a change. Bioshock on the other hand, also has unique gameplay, but also a very deep athmosphere and story, and the game lasts a lot longer, i've already beaten it twice, and i enjoyed it to the fullest both times. Ofcourse, bioshock is a little creepy during the start of the game, but once you get over that fear (i don't play a lot of horror games XD) it's superb.

I would take Mirror Edge. Mirror Edge is excellent and innovative. You never played anything like this before. Bioshock is a great game, the setting is original and the story is good but it still is "just another shooter". Its rare we get an american game with this amount of polish in general so I suppose people have been impressed. .

Mirrors edge is a great game since it's something new, but it's a bit samey. I thought it was fun all the way to the end but it has no replay value at all. Bioshock doesn't have much gameplay at all though, it's basically just 'another shooter' but with a few bells and ribbons to make it look nice. The powers that you get are kind of fun to begin with but once you have all of them everything sort of dries up and you realise they're all pretty much the same. The story and atmosphere are really good though

I only have Far Cry 2, and I can tell you that it is a great game. For me, I'd choose Far Cry, but it's up to your preferences. And adam, you may say "big deal" but you can use it to great effect and tactics. That's what I like about Far Cry - the tactics. There are hundreds of ways to approach a mission - shell the base from outside with mortars, and sneak in and take out the remaining people with a pistol; don a camo suit and a silent weapon or a knife and sneak your way through - find out where the men patrol and plant a bomb, then wait for them to pass; it's really open-ended. Also, I'll PM the Kill's and ask him to merge the threads.
