Upcoming PSN game LBP fans might be interested in.

Archive: 7 posts

There is a very retro space shooter with colorful neon visuals coming to the PSN with an LBP twist. It has what would appear to be a flexible level editor with online sharing and the levels that come with the game were created with the same tool that will be available to everyone. I'm excited about it and thought I'd post this for those who don't know about it yet. From the look of it, this game may actually be like the old NES game Solar Jetman.

^I'm sure you'll still be putting out great levels on it, wexfordian. 2009-09-02 13:20:00

Looks good. But I hate that control scheme, like Asteroids. It just doesn't give you enough... control.

I wish it was more like Geometry Wars, but who knows maybe it'll work great.

When's it come out?

They say they're near the end of development so hopefully soon. Maybe October? :hero:2009-09-02 13:54:00

Ooo, thanks for sharing this. I love shmups (shoot em ups for those that don't know). This should be interesting with the level editor. ^_^

EDIT: I better bring this to Bridget's attention as he is a fan of the shmup genre.
