I've been gone for a while...

Archive: 19 posts

...and so, I ask for your help. I have been away from the world of the internet for about a month and a half, and hadn't played lbp before that for a couple of weeks, SO, I need to catch up. Effectively, I ask of you as a community 1 thing (I'm catching up slowly on the news, but this one's trickier):

LEVELS!

I'm back to school on Thursday, but I will try and play as many as possible when I can ('spesh as my two brothers are off to uni in a couple of weeks, and my main restriction on videogame playtime will be lifted), and catch up on what I've lost.

So I ask for this: Recommendations of good levels published in the last two months. I will compile them into a list and will play through them one by one, and probably review a couple if they're good and post them in Reviews. I expect once the full list is made (once it's really big, I'll have to cut it off), I'll post it in Recommendations (although I may have judged wrongly and put this in the wrong forum, it was a toss between Everything Else and Recommendations).

So, please, recommend me some levels from the last two months.

Thanks in advance!

We actually have a thread that was started a couple days ago in the recommendations section that compiles all the recommended threads into one easy to use area. In that regard, you may want to offer to help them out, rather than to start your own.

With regard to levels, oh jeez... I will try to list some highlights and will edit them in as I go... (in no particular order)

These are not all of the awesome levels that you may have missed, but these are the must play that I can remember. I'm having a hard time judging when you stopped playing online and when some of these levels started showing up.

More that you haven't edited in:

Ama Toor Demo by Jagrevi
Up, Up, and Away in Skytown by Jump_Button (*must play*)
Mars Attacks 2 by GrantosUK
Hyper Sphere Revolution by MrsSpookyBuz
Space Escape by jwwphotos

I think I'm going to stop there. There were a bunch of great levels.

Edit: You misspell my name the same exact way Burnvictim42 does, which is curious... Not a huge deal, but it's funny that it's just you two.

Check the Spotlight archive for the last 4 spotlights - that's two months worth - or check the last 3 and then tune in on Friday for #21. Also Check Cool Pages section on the level showcase - many of them really are cool

Nice to see you again. I trust H.A.L.L. hasn't given you too much trouble.

Anyway... yeah, the Community spotlights probably :/

HAha, yeah, I forgot about them. So, I'll check the last couple, do the ones that cophermc kindly posted, and run through cool pages. I'll try and get started on that tomorrow, and should be done some time next months O______o

Also, Rock, looks like I've fallen a little behind there :'(

Oh, and Morgana, nice to see you still around here. Shame about the removal of your nice red username - I remember that happening a couple of days before I left.

It seems that a month and a half has been too long. You should know this thread belongs in Recommendations!

Moved.

Definitely check out the last few spotlights and play the levels comphermc suggested.

Haha, thanks Killian, I just wasn't sure whether Recommendations was only if the thread maker was Recommending a level. Thanks for clearing that up.

And comphermc, I've fixed that little hiccough.

Lol, you say "in no particular order", but look who you thought of first

Seriously though, I don't think I have much to add to this thread. Oh, except OmegaSlayer has been creating a catalogue of recommendations, but some of them aren't that new.

Oops, forgot this thread had been moved to recommendations. Took a while to find.

Anywho, I'll get started on those all tomorrow.

You silly bean, there was already a thread by someone else recently, asking what awesome levels he's missed!

Anyways, over 50 levels that are for the most part reasonably recent: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/blog.php?b=588
Just print out the list if you want.

Hi dawesbr and welcome back. You've got a lot of catching up to do and playing all the great levels you haven't seen will keep you busy for ages.

One creator you must check out is BOIA. He makes some truly awesome levels which no-one should miss out on.

Have fun.

Woah! OK, so I've now got around 70 levels to play...

...and I'm afraid to turn my PS3 on with all the hullaballoo over 3.00. I guess I'll have to raincheck on starting these :'(

I've been meaning to thank you for recommending BozzleQuest in that other thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=p=254359), mister. BOIA is a genius.
