Archive: 25 posts
Armored Core: For Answer Silent Hill Homecoming MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Dead Space Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Rock Band 2 BioShock Little Big Planet Guitar Hero World Tour Fallout 3 Pure Fable II Far Cry 2 Rise of the Argonauts Wario Land: Shake It! And a few others... No, I don't expect everyone to be getting all of these games, but you have to admit, these two months will be bringing quite a few good ones (we can hope, lol). Gonna be hard saving up money for most of those. Main priority is LBP, though! | 2008-09-14 22:17:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |

It would be nice if publishers would learn to spread their big games throughout the year a bit more. | 2008-09-14 23:45:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |

my take on the list That's still like 4 games anyway! x____x;; Darn you, Sept-Oct! ... Wow, that sounds like a name for a monster... Septoct! can you add release dates please Oh man I'm so lazy right now, lol. I'll do it later tonight maybe, but my lazyness is kicking in right now. | 2008-09-15 00:01:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |
LBP, Far Cry 2 and Bioshock for sure ... then a wait for Resident Evil 5 and Killzone 2. We need another fun platformer - aside from LBP this is a dark chapter in gaming! | 2008-09-15 14:38:00 Author: mrbobbyboy Posts: 304 |
Interesting choice of title xD And yeah, I'm interested in several games in that list. Both me and my wallet are going to suffer these 2 months.... | 2008-09-15 15:03:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |
I think I will only get lbp and fallout 3. | 2008-09-15 15:50:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
Rock Band, LBP, and Fallout 3 are definate buys(I already have Rock Band ). I'm also looking into getting Midnight Club but I'm going to wait for reviews on that. It looks pretty crazy though. | 2008-09-15 17:45:00 Author: the_kev11 Posts: 79 |
It would be nice if publishers would learn to spread their big games throughout the year a bit more. Everybody wants to aim for the holiday season... Christmas = wallet-leeching time for the industry. They do it worse than women. >_< Me and my sexist jokes... '>_> On a slightly related note... it's a good thing that my wallet has been going through a drought lately... I haven't spent on anything since MGS4 came out way back when... Time to let the leeches in... | 2008-09-15 18:33:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |
Interesting choice of title xD And yeah, I'm interested in several games in that list. Both me and my wallet are going to suffer these 2 months.... Oh yea, that's for sure! I'm most excited about (other than LBP of course) Pure and Wipeout HD. Main reason: other than being fun looking games in terms of gameplay especially, they offer Splitscreen!! Oh how I have missed that! I played some good old Burnout Revenge last night with a friend of mine. As much fun as that game is, I'm ready for the new-gen splitscreen experience! Although I'm suddenly wishing I had a slightly bigger TV lol, but that's just because I'm used to it now. To think that I used to play PS2 splitscreen on something like a 19 or 20 inch standard display, and now I'm complaining about 37 inch LCD :o for shame! | 2008-09-15 19:03:00 Author: KAPBAM Posts: 1348 |

Don't forget Resistance 2, Mirrors Edge, COD:World at War & Prince of Persia in November. & you forgot Socom. Personally i'm getting NBA 2k9,LBP,Motorstorm. I'm gonna rent Dead Space, Bioshock, & Mirrors Edge. | 2008-09-15 20:48:00 Author: LittleBigMan Posts: 326 |
Those are on november, like you said. I don't dig Socom anyway. I'm not one for army games. | 2008-09-15 21:12:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |
Yeah here's the list of games I want (I included November): DEFINITE buys: 29 Oct 08 - LittleBigPlanet 31 Oct 08 - Fallout 3 18 Nov 08 - Prince of Persia PROBABLE (hopeful ) buys: 16 Sep 08 - Pure 20 Oct 08 - Dead Space 29 Oct 08 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows MAYBE (probably not ) buys: Released! - Disgaea 3 16 Sep 08 - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 14 Oct 08 - Rise of the Argonauts 21 Oct 08 - Bioshock - Eternal Sonata - Far Cry 2 04 Nov 08 - Lord of the Rings: Conquest 11 Nov 08 - Mirror's Edge - Valkyria Chronicles As you can see there're 3 games I will definitely be getting before or for Christmas. The hopeful buys keep changing I'll probably end up with Dead Space, Spider-man and Valkyria Chronicles if I can afford any at all. I feel kinda sad and annoyed that I won't be able to buy all these games . | 2008-09-15 21:43:00 Author: Burrich Posts: 1018 |
Little Big Planet Fallout 3 Far Cry 2 Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Lord of the Rings: Conquest Mirror's Edge Hmm...WTF am I going to do... the funny thing is I will buy all of these at launch... but all of them will gather dust because of LBP...grr **** you Media Molecule!!! | 2008-09-16 04:09:00 Author: Noonian Posts: 523 |
... Who the heck scheduled these releases? I'm never going to be able to afford all of these juicy, delicious, tender, omgifreakingwantit games. | 2008-09-16 05:14:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
Actually, looking over this past year... This has been a HUGE year for gaming. Seriously, look at all the games that have come out, or will come out, just in 2008! Tons and tons of tons. And it's just getting bigger all the time. And for the big games that aren't coming out 2008, they're coming out Q1 2009. And so you look at the stats and see that gaming revenues have jumped up this year...and then you suddenly realize why. It's all the GAMES! Just look at how huge GTAIV was. And how big MGS4 was. Those by themselves are huge. And then you look at all the smaller, but still pretty dang large in their own right, games, and man, that's why. And yes, the next couple months are gong to have an overload. I don't think it's actually the companies expecting everyone to get the games as they come out. I think they're pushing them out there so they can be there for all the early Christmas shoppers, and make sure the games have lots of solid reviews and stats, etc, before the Christmas wave hits and everyone's buying. But yeah, still a ton. I'll be getting LBP, obviously. Not sure about the rest, but really probably not. But who knows, may take my PS2 to GameSpot and get a game out of it. All depends on the reviews. | 2008-09-16 05:17:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |
