Okay, new myspace thingymadoodle...I think the design is smart and overall very nice. However, I have that sense that something...bad's gonna happen...Don't you? I mean, just imagine the kids that'll spam their own layouts...How many do you think will get on cool pages? Will they flood? And what if russelmuscles gets hold of one? I'm rather worried I'm just wondering whether or not this whole thing is a good idea...

Isee what you mean, the first myspace layout got soo many plays and hearts. its like people dont even try to make good levels anymore and get so many hearts and plays than the ones that actually try and make really good levels. Who is ruselmuscles? I always see his name on some post.

I'm not sure it really has a place necessarily... I see a lot of spammed layouts, but i dont think they're really going to get all that popular. I know i typically wouldn't play a level just to learn about someone, much less heart it.

I have already seen (and expect to see more of) that original 'Level' simply copied and republished without any changes. Doubtful that they will get onto the cool pages much maybe for the odd crazy republisher, but it's better than a 'H4H', 'bomb' or 'obstacle course' level.......for now.

I can't really explain because I'm too tired and frustrated trying to find out when PSN cards are coming to the UK, but if you wish to have a look, why not play the template level? Must admit, it's smartly designed, I'm just worried about the dangers of it all. Especially with some of the things such as faith (forboding...).

I'm not too sure as to what this whole "Myspace" thing is, but it seems to be making people spam "profile" levels from my understanding. And thus, if too many people start making "profile" levels, then maybe we have a problem here...

Soon we'll probably have Facebook and Bebo levels as well.... I still don't know what a myspace level template..thingy what ever it is... never seen it...probably will never play it.

Oh no! If people start spamming myspace levels we will have a serious problem, because then the game will be filled with spam levels and that would be so much worse than what we have now I don't get it. What's the problem? It'll just be the new fad - this game has, and is going to, see a lot of them...

I think this is a conversation that bear's continuing since the creator in question appears to be advertising their "meme with packaging" in multiple sub-forums on this site. I want to say that this concept does bother me, but not because of spam. I'm actually not too worried about them "flooding" ... honestly, barring the initial one, what other searches except "newest level" would you expect them to come up on? "Busiest"? "Cool"? "Highest Rated"? No, my concerns are one or two of the things it is asking children - a, if not the, main demographic of this game. I don't want to spend all night on this topic, so I won't go into detail, but I worry that it's reinforcing a tribalistic presupposition that I think is a subtle but very negative thing. Short response - I don't think it's a good idea. However, in all fairness, I don't think the "spam" complaint is that relevant of one. I'm curious how long people think this trend will last, and how many people approve or disapprove of it (or have no inclination one way or the other).

Sooooo as far as I can tell.... there is sometihng sinister and evil lurking in LBP and everyone is scared to talk about it? Is it voldemort??? (shhhh, don't say his name or your face falls off, or something, I never really understood what that was about ) This seems the most likely explanation from the vagueness of the comments here TBH I can't be bothered to hunt out this level, but if any of you are actually looking for an adult discussion about this terrible and scary thing, do you not think it might be simpler to just say what is worrying about it than beat around the bush? And maybe reference what it is exactly you are talking about would help Yeah, I'm drunk But I do actually mean what I say, what's with all the cloak and dagger shenanigans? I don't get it.

I'll PM to clarify, and it's not a secret - it's just if I made the argument in thread it would derail this entire thread because someone would inevitably passionately disagree, and honestly I don't have the time to engage in a "serious adult discussion" - at least this evening. Serious adult discussions are good, don't get me wrong ... but they're draining, and I'd rather focus on simply feeling out how people feel about this "fad". I just wanted to be on the record as being against it, but not turn the entire discussion into why *I* don't like it. I want to know whether or not - and potentially why - you do or do not like it (or are indifferent).
