PS3 Digital Coax or MultiChannel Output modification

| One thing I always felt the PS3 should have had is Digital Coax Output but they opted for the Fiber Optic Output instead. Does anyone know if it would be possible to tap into the HDMI terminals internally (warranty issues aside), and create a Digital Coax Output ? | old thread know, they used to make an adaptor to go from opticle to digital coax. Radio Shack used to carry them 5-6 years ago but Radio Shack just bought it from some one else.
