The movie 9 is produced by the famous Tim Burton.Ironically,it's being released on Setember 9,2009(09/09/09).But what's wierd is the movie's characters. Now there's not much information on the movie,but if you see the trailer,you can see the main characters resemble a lot like our beloved friend,Sackboy.There's even a part where a machine appears that resembles LBP's The Wedding level's monster,the SkullDozer.Seeing a pattern here? This may be a coincidence,but who knows?I'll post pictures soon.

I think it must be a coincidence. I mean Tim Burton is absolutely not the kind of director (or producer) that copy other work...

I don't think so. You could just as well they he's copying Ghostbusters. :-) Looks awesome though. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

First off, welcome to the forums... always nice to see new folks popping in and joining the party. Secondly, this has been discussed in a thread already. Seriously doubt it, the first time I saw the trailer was a few months ago and did see a resemblence but i doubt he would copy LBP. Besides these types of movies take 3+ years to make.

Take it from someone who works in film/television... if there was any way it could be proven that one was borrowing from the other, credit would be given where it's due or there would be lawyers involved (the media is greedy that way) . The short film this is based off of had nothing to do with Tim Burton and far preceeds LBP. Okay,so I searched 9...turns out that it's a number.So I searched again...this time it's turns out that 9 is based on another short film.But either way, there's a slight chance that LBP or Tim Burton are copying each other.But it's still a slight chance.

Are you even reading the replies to your thread? Rustbukkit has already said this twice, and since 9 is based off a short film which existed before LBP, it makes no sense that tim burton copied LBP.

The short film was released in 2005 source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_(2005_film)) Also, more source (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443424/) 9 predates LBP, the similarities are extremely minor. Man, we don't have the same definition for copie anymore!! Not only it was thought, made AND released before LittleBigPlanet but the ONLY common point we can see here is the texture on the perso and the fact there's a zipper. Wow, try again. And your poll is biased. The answer nearest of what I would chose is "it's only a big coincidence". It's not big. .

Yellowhead is long gone (aside from the costume of course). While I don't know when Sackboy was first created, I can only assume it wasn't too long after Craftworld. We have seen some very early designs of him, and we know that LBP was LBP, with a level editor in 2006, which was after all those other prototypes (Katamari costume, 2D/3D etc).
