At first I just naturally assumed so, but reading his description, now I'm not so sure. It doesn't seem like it. Which, if it's not, is slightly weird. It's almost like making a level called "Star Wars: Something" and making up your own completely unconnected sci-fi story. I think alot of people might, possibly unfortunately, give it a low rating because they'd play it thinking it was something else entirely - assuming it isn't related, of course.
