Halloween Night: Trick o' Treating

Im Having Trouble Making my level. I cannot figure out how to create the switches in my level.. I want to make a few different main switches. like a disicion switch for if you get caught tepeeing trees by the police and you get the choice for them to take you home or you could run from them. and a switch to tepee trees. like you grab a roll of toiletpaper and it tepees the tree. I cant figure that one out either. And one last one.. A switch to knock on a door and it opens and the a you get a piece of candy and the door closes again. will anyone make me these switches..? if you want to make the tepee switch ask me for the tree im using. We won't make it for you, but we will help you make it yourself.

Starting with the TP switch. It's not much of a switch, but... design your TP pattern in the tree, and capture it. Then make a roll of TP on the ground somewhere. Make it out of dissolve, and sticker it to your liking. Set up a grab switch on the TP and wire it to dissolve the TP away when it's grabbed. Also, put an invisible magnetic key on the dissolve. Then on a nearby object (perhaps the tree) place a magnetic key switch of the same color. Tweak its radius so that the key is within range.

Set the magnetic key switch to inverted and one shot. Now it will only turn on once the key is dissolved away (which will occur when the TP is grabbed). Now, create an emitter. Place it somewhere on the tree and choose the TP that you captured earlier as its object. Set it to emit the TP in the tree. If you are having trouble making the TP stay up, try attached a little piece of invisible dissolve material to it before you capture it, so that it "floats" there.

Once your TP is emitting onto the tree correctly, tweak its settings for your purpose. Max emitted at once = 1 (for thermo saving), lifetime = infinite, timing = .1. Now, wire your inverted magnetic key switch to the emitter. Delete any objects that may have been emitted.

You are finished. When you grab the TP, your emitter should activate from the one-shot magnetic key switch, and the TP should show up in the tree.

Thanks! I am also having trouble with the candy one. Do you know how i could create that one..? And on another note.. I LOVE your aperture science levels! ive played them like 6 times each!! They are for sure some of my favorite levels on lbp of all time..! :star:2009-08-30 01:00:00

Well.. I guess i would like it to go open to the left then have a sackboy cutout (i can do cutouts perfectly) Give you a piece of candy. And then after you grab the piece of candy it would appear in a bag at the your house. What is your PSN? i could add you and show you what the level looks like so far2009-08-30 01:14:00
