Actually, you didn't mention it. When it comes to networking problems, people will point to the obvious answers first, because they are often overlooked. You have not really given us a lot to work on.

In your PS3 network status list what does you NAT type list? If it lists NAT type 2 or 3, you're behind a firewall, which could cause problems for your PSN connection. Do you have firewall enabled in your router or modem or both? If so, have you forwarded ports to your PS3 in your firewall?

Do you have any network heavy programs running on your computer? Running bittorent programs at high UL/DL speeds can affect your PSN connection, depending on which program you use and your router.

I understand that this issue frustrates you. I'd be frustrated, too. But please don't go snapping at people for trying to give you some solution. There are rarely any be-all, end-all solution to networking problems, since there are so many variables, but providing as much info as you can will help narrow down the possible solution.

(Oh, and if you didn't mean your above reply as snapping at Syroc, I apologize. I just read it like a frustrated respone.)

I cant think anything heavy that is killing the PSN network that I don't normely have.

Skype, MSN, Firefox is all.

Would it be possible that a few walls and bits of wood would not help?

Have you tried reseting the router? I get the same problem every few months and simply unplugging the router from the wall and plugging it back in is enough to fix it.2009-08-31 16:41:00
