HELLO FELLOW SACK-ADDICTS! My PSN is BabyDoll1970 (yes, I WAS born in 1970... so that makes me...? Well, probably one of the oldest people on LBPC!) and I am from Melbourne, Australia. We're a family of keen gamers here and I purchased LBP for my kids for Christmas last year and have been hogging it ever since. Never have I found a game that fosters freedom of creativity the way LBP does so I'm indebted to Sony & MM forever. I'm sure my family doesn't thank them, but... oh well : ) Suck it up and be grateful your mum's a gamer! Much cooler than being on the P&C (PTA)... and I've done that, so I know!

I have 2 levels posted on Showcase at the moment - The Art Vandals and Workin' for the Psycho Granny. Feel free to visit them for a small squiz at the sort of things that go on in my mind.
Glad to see there are so many female creators here!
And thanks to bonner123 for recommending this site. It's been most helpful.

Okay, that's it. Cheers, everyone, and happy gaming xox

Hey welcome to LBPC, you aren't that old! Aging. . . it happens to the best of us. . . but as long as you're not so geriatric that you can still hold a ps3 controller, nobody in LBP will be able to tell the difference!2009-08-29 18:51:00

Welcome! No worries on age - we have many "older" creators and members here. Check out the 30+ thread if you'd like to get an idea who they are... don't mind the youngins teasing in there - they don't know better yet They make things interesting though.

Have fun!

Hiya Icey! *chronologically challenged* Baaaaahahahahahaaaa! Personally, I think the younger set are the more 'challenged' ones as we have so much more... "experience" to draw from in our creating. I think in most ways we actually get better with age : )2009-08-30 00:48:00

Don't worry yourself about it, my friend : ) Perhaps I was just trying to look on the bright side of aging?

"Workin' for the Psycho Granny"?

It sounds more like a nightmare than a level in LittleBigPlanet. Regardless, I'll probably play it.

Welcome to the forums here at LBPC, and enjoy your stay!

Well, it was a NIGHTMARE to MAKE, but yes, the old biddy's a bit of a hot head - but do play it and let me know what you think (and how I could improve it). Cheers!!

chronologically challenged?!
Ohhh, no no no no! that's not right at all!
If anything, we are chronologically advantaged!

Anyway, It's great to see someone from down under here! I was beginning to wonder if Australians were on a different server or something. Cool! Some of my best webbernet buddies are from Australia! They've been telling me about noddy and big ears, and I've been trying to get them to send me Vegemite.

It's good to have you here!

Sorry to have to post that entire quote just to ask... you like Vegemite?? That's an acquired taste, you know. Most impressive [in Darth Vader voice]

Well, depends which part of Aus you're in. Up north it's hot all year round, but super-duper humid in the summer, but the fruit is unbelievable! M-m-m-m-mmmmmmm! Downside is all the insects and spiders grow really big : (
Down where I am, in the south-east, it's hot in summer, cold in winter (snows nicely in some parts) but we're in severe drought which is why a massive chunk of our state burned down this last summer. Very, very scary! The rain we used to have hasn't been seen for some years now (we get a bit now and then) and let me tell you - water restrictions are NOT FUN. 4 minute showers, no playing under the hose in summer, no watering gardens except on certain allocated days and never allowed to water lawns. We're not even allowed to wash our cars. We have to go to places with recycled water to do it. So to cut a very long story short (too late for that!) the point of all this is - be grateful for the rain. Can't wait to get to Ireland some time before I die.. see the "homeland". I'll stand out in that rain for a couple of hours more than happily : )
