The "What are you listening to right now" Thread

Archive: 4299 posts

Cuz every forum needs one!

Its always good to have one to distinguish people's musical taste and in rare occasions, get interested in new music yourself, so its simple for those that haven't done it, simply post the name of the song and artist you are listening to at the moment. I'll go first.

Viva La Vida - Coldplay

The Unforgiven III by Metallica

"How can I be lost, if I've got nowhere to go" my favorite line from any song. Also the solo is awesome, Kirk gets a little trigger happy with the wah pedal.

ewww death metal, NO NO NO NO NO, i hate it. I love thrash, unfortuantely not many good thrash songs after the 80s. metallica's new album Death Magnetic is quite awesome, kinda simillar to the older stuff but a little more Melodic and Kirk is addicted to Wah now.

But I hate pretty much all other genres of music, that's why I'm an outsider. I can't bring myself to respect and pop / rap / techno etc. The only music that I really listen to that isn't thrash is SoaD, just cause they're in a genre of their own. They are not NuMetal. And Serj is probably the most talented all round musician in history. At least of the ones i know.

Listening to Needles live by SoaD now, sounds so much better live.

Oh yeah Tenacious D, I don't mind them, though I really don't respect them. Jack Black is probably the biggest sellout in history, but I guess seeing as they're a comedy band it's arguable Jack Black just does everything he does for comedy. But I don't want to jump on that boat.

Original was by The Police - Every Little Thing
The Police were a three-piece rock band consisting of Sting (vocals, bass guitar), Andy Summers (guitar, vocals) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion, vocals).

Rxr1s24Frmc

Though Ive tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve
As Ive done from the start

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Do I have to tell the story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met
Its a big enough umbrella
But its always me that ends up getting wet

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day
And ask her if shell marry me in some old fashioned way
But my silent fears have gripped me
Long before I reach the phone
Long before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone?

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Haha, it's classic. Back from the debut album. You should listen to them, they're great. But considering what you just posted... Maybe not, even though I don't know what it is.

Oops forgot to say I'm now listening to Sweating Bullets by Megadeth, never listened to it before so I don't know how it'll be.

Me. Singing an old rendition of Stayin' Alive from my chef days, with the lyrics changed to:

Ah, ah, ah, ah, table five, table five, I said, ah, ah, ah, ah, table fiiiiive, taable fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive, iiiiiiiiiii-iiiive...

It's stuck in my head.

You don't want to know how the lyrics of "In too deep" got changed. Thankfully this is an "E" rated forum, so I don't have to tell you either!

For those who are really curious, there's also a podcast of Keith and the girl playing on my computer.

Exile - Slayer Ok

'Home Improvement' theme song. lol

Aerials - System of a Down I love that song so much, I really love playing that verse riff, epic and simple at the same time.

Violent Pornography Not so much, but I understand what it's getting at and it has a few good parts, just kinda embarrassing when people ask what your listening to in class etc.

Call me crazy, but I'm not that into SoaD. I thought their first few singles were good ("Chop Suey", "Toxicity", "Aerials"), but I kind of lost interest fairly quick after that. Not sure why really...

^ ^ ^ Death Magnetic stuff, Metallica are the only decent modern Thrash band in my opinion. They all went way off track in the 90s, but luckily 'Tallica came back with this awesome gem of an album. Don't worry, when I become a famous Thrasher there will be some more.

"Airbourne - Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast".

If you haven't heard Airbourne before, go do it. They're a modern band who do '80s style pub rock. Purely for that I love them.

During typing, "Turbonegro - Turbonegro Must Be Destroyed" came on. That right there is why I love them. They have a song saying they're no good, and must be killed. And have an album called "Party Animals". Anyone who titles their album that deserves my devotion.
