My level and psn won't show up in lbp search! HELP

Archive: 19 posts

I know this topic has been up before but there was never a conclusion and now it's happening to me. For some reason my level won't show up in the search features by the level name or my name. It's indeed published because people on my friends list can play it and it's under the My Levels tab also. When I republish it, it seems like a lot of people jump on to play it but it still doesn't show up in the Searches. What gives??!?

Yeah, you're right it doesn't work. I can still see it in cool levels, but only there.2009-08-29 00:35:00

I'll go and play it now then

EDIT: So it doesn't even show up if you can get onto your name? Oh well.

Man, that's brutal.. I'm hoping that after my second level is posted, the other will show up as well. I put so much time into this and it can't even get reviewed properly for people looking for it. :eek:2009-08-29 04:28:00

Funnily enough the level I published two days ago doesn't show up if search it by it's name.2009-08-29 10:52:00

You too?! Oh no! It's so frustrating because I put a lot of work into it and now people aren't able to find it or play it unless they're on my friends list. I republished it last night and it got some more plays but it still does not show up in the searches. When you republish, everyone just overwrites the older location, right?2009-08-29 15:48:00

That's what I do.
I think my level doesn't even appear on the cool level pages when republishing it, so yeah probably not going to get many plays at all.

OK! Since my level won't show up in searches, I'm have to call on this community for support. If you could add me to your friends list (temporarily if need be) and check out my level, I will play and review ALL of your levels you've created. It's a big step but I worked too long on this level for it to go unseen. I appreciate your support and thanks in advance!2009-08-29 18:32:00

Many out there didn't take the problem seriously.
This is serious.
I've read at least of another guy that has your same situation, first level published unreachable.
I've experienced this with Novakain level.

Then I've read more than one case when the new level is not reachable with search by level name, but only if you search the author; and sometimes you can't find the level either in this way.
I've experienced this at least with Syroc's, Javi Haguse's and A_Morton's latest levels.

This is really unfair for every creator and a situation that MM should try to solve really asap.

Same here, but only with 1 of the levels... to "fix" this you have to select one of the other levels and click on the creator name in the top of the window; this shows all of that creator's levels. At least this works for me...2009-09-01 18:08:00

This is the... Third time this problem has afflicted my levels. Mm seems to eventually find a fix, but it still doesn't make sense why it keeps happening. Last time it happened after a patch, that made sense. It was at the same time as the No Star Bug (which Mm apparently reported were seperate problems - the No Stars and the Search Broken), so now we got our stars and the search worked again for a little while and now it's broken again...

/sigh. Well it's atleast incentive to spend time on working on new stuff. And play WoW.

I actually sent an E-mail to MM, and they said something was probably broken somewhere, and since my PS3 is still on service (no LBP for me) I dunno if they have fixed it yet.

My theory was/is that at a certain date and time (which I don't know) some, levels or/and authors dissappear in the search system, the authors published levels will almost never appear in the search.
It happened to my newer account, Moonwire, but not my older one, arcticpolar...

LBP becomes a bit dull if your levels never are played, and your only solution to get hearts are... Ugh... H4H...

There is also another way though, that anyone with your PSN ID added as friend can play your levels, And you can go through the hearted pages of other people too, and maybe find one of those levels, but that's that.

Did you try searching now? The search has been fixed a couple of days ago it seems.

have you tried deleting it (not from your "my moon" but just from the comunity and then publishing it again.

Yeah it will loose all it's plays and hearts but surely if no one can see it it won't have any?
