I had a stroke of inspiration recently that has me excited for levelcrafting again. I don't want to explain the whole idea here, but I need some help to get started. I want to create a urban level (think Chicago or New York) with a classic black and white movie feel. Think of something like those hardboiled PI shows. However, I'm not skilled at creating attractive or natural looking environments. I'd like to get some suggestions for levels that might fit this description that I could draw inspiration from to get me off the ground. I would build a solid foundation and create a unique presentation that would fit well in LBP. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Having read your description, one level that comes to mind immediately is a level called 'The Movies' by Teebonesy. I'm not sure whether it's exactly what you're after, but I think you'll find a lot of inspiration from the visual style.
