ok so im just sufin waiten for lbp water email and i see that the 360 elite jot a price drop to 299
so i read further down the page and i see they droped the hdmi cable that came with the elite and replaced it with a set of av cables

"trys to compreehend wat there thinking."
brain strains to understand."
"wha..wha..brain lock"

really though wat were they thinking

so i read evan further down the page and hears a qwoute from xbox comunity manager.

"we feel by replacing the cables we give the consumer the option to choose wat type of gaming experians they want. if they want hd then they can buy our component or hdmi cables"

ok i think i speek for anybody with a brain and say wat in the ****

ok i can see taking the hdmi cable (thats where the $100 on the price whent)
but why just av cables why not the split av/component cables atleast then you get an option for hd befor going and buying a set of cables

wow any of you guys think the same thing. and feel free to tell me if im over reacting

I don't really see your point, the PS3 only comes with composite cables as well.2009-08-28 02:15:00

That's most likely why Microsoft felt it was better to have it come with composite cables.

You'll see. . in like a year they're gonna come out with a new 360 slim.

Are you saying that MS is copying Sony? As for the on line experience and the video on demand???.... Ah yes, lol

I don't really see the poit either. If you bundle with HDMI you need to bundle with composite as well, so every one can use it out of the box. Why not just bundle in a single cable in that everyone can use rather than making everyone pay for a second cable?

that's an extra 5-10 dollars profit on every unit sold and it's really not gonna be a significant enough factor to stop people buying one if they want one....

Epic win methinks.

There is now actually a one cent item HDMI cable (plus shipping). My friend paid $40 for the same length as me, they work identically, and mine was ~$2.50, which I got free because of Swagbucks.

EDIT: Sorry, three cents today.

Why not just make a cable that is the AV & HDMI cable? saves a lot of problems!2009-08-28 16:48:00

It will certainly cost more than 150 $ for this kind of cable... If doable...

I'm interested! lol

I've just thought of why they dont make a cable like that, as it would mean less money as there'd be just one cable needed!

not really. You would actually need two sets of cabling, due to the varying electrical properties and number of wires required, you would still need two sets of connectors at the receiver end. Various options for the receiver end, but I don't see it being cheaper tbh.2009-08-28 17:29:00

Well, they needed to cut the price to stay competitive. Besides, PS3 only comes with AV comp. cables

Besides, the price for LIVE and a wireless adapter puts the price of the thing to 400+ USD

I wish Live was rid of all the **** immature kids playing violent games, after playing on Live since launch, I fully understand why people around the world hate American youth. They have every right in the world to

PSN would probably be the same if Sony ever did a mic pack-in, I think the mic pack-in is what it comes down to

I bought my HDMI cable for around ?5. WTF?

Also, what's so bad about Microsoft replacing the HDMI cables with the SD ones?
SD cables work with pretty much all TVs, HDMI only work with HD. What's the problem?
