I actually take exception to film/movie and Autumn/Fall... It makes all us (Haha) U.S. Yanks sound like idiots... Not all films are movies, not all movies are films and don't even get me started on digital presentations!!!! All though 'our' theatres (spelt theater) are indeed Movie theaters... and the owners of these; Movie exhibitors. The difference between the two is; In one you are obligated to buy a tremendously oversized popcorn tub/bag which would make you sick if you ever ate all of it so you must leave exactly half of it uneaten for staff to clean..., the other would be aghast at such a site, and prefer to bring their own loudly wrapped candies into the theatre. Where cinema fits I'm not sure... perhaps it needs to be an 'Art House' film... Heck, most of them are imported, that might explain some things! Fall and Autumn. Fall is definetely more widely used... but again, they're might be some socio-economic-psuedo-educational-demographic-thing going on here... I look forward to Autumn every year!

okay okay.... im an american, and ill tell u the truth about the american people. (im not that un-edumicated... lol!) the only true american people that exist are the native americans... the people u see when u watch movies about cowboys and indians... they're ones in the movies that wear loin cloths and feathers and shoot arrows at the cowboys... hehe. =) but americans are... i say 98%... other nationalities. germans, jews, french, dutch, english, spanish, african, asian, italian, irish, scotish, etc etc. but all the nationalites with their pros and cons mixed together make-up what is now the u.s.a. i know alot of people think americans are arrogant, rude, loud mouthed, and annoying... and itz true!!!!!! The 'U' 's aren't missing... just check my posts. All through 'high school' my 'teachers' would try to correct it. And Matt, I do not know anyone who would be caught dead using the word 'fanny', even when part of a larger term... for instance, 'fanny-pak' ...not popular over here. It seems to be the last euphemism/synonym anyone here would use. We prefer the butt. I love the word 'buttocks' it's always good for a laugh.

A: Soccer, B: Football. I always get confused when I speak to a friend of mine about American Football, 'cause even though they hate it, and I'm the only one who LOVES it, I have to say NFL for American Football to avoid saying football, so that they don't think I'm talking about "soccer". But then they get confused and ask what the NFL is, and then, I say it's an American football league, to which they then say, "What, do you mean soccer?". And I have to obviously say no, American Football, with quarterbacks, halfbacks, endzones, touchdowns, field goals...And as a last ditch attempt to make them understand what I'm talking about, I have to say, " The ball looks like a Rugby ball", and then they go, "Oh that game is for wusses 'cause they have to wear padding" and I have to argue against that and it goes on and on and on for hours and hours with no pause for breath in an endless quarrel until someone shoops and whoops and fires their lazer (http://forwardslashfail.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/untitled-3.jpg)...
