Had that last year, so I have a good idea what you'll have to go through, expect everything thats underwater to be ruined and for the restoration work to take close to a year.

actually the cleanup will only take a few hours... we used to have an apartment down there w/ carpet and stuff... last year we flooded so we tore up the carpet and put down fake wood floors... everything we keep down there is in plastic boxes (learned the hard way) we flood every year at least once or twice...

That's not good, hope you get thru it fine. We don't have floods in Massachusetts, But we do have snow storms where you literally can't walk(or open) the door outside

we get those in chicago too... i am blessed with extreams in both summer and winter... 2 years ago it snowed so much that my school closed... not a big deal? my school has closed 4 times since they opened in 1914... thats a big deal and almost every other summer it gets so hot that people die of heat stroke

the iowa floods this summer were TERRIBLE!!! it really didnt get that much attention and it was a 500 year flood!!!!!!!!!! thyre still recovering
