You know what... even though several people have posted LBP as the top 5 I honestly have to say the same. It is by far the most played title I have. I play it with my daughter, by myself or with friends online. This was at least true when my PS3 was stable .

If I had to put other games in the list..

Dirt
Grid

LOL Am I breaking the NDA by saying it's pretty good? Or by saying its better than your typical FPS (Call of Duty, Socom) but not OMG AMAZING (no FPS has this quality at least for me anymore, is it me or are they very repetitive)? I bet I'll change my mind for the better once they open a 256 player map and more game modes . And like all shooters or games in general (at least imo) this game would be much more fun if I had a buddy I know in RL playing with me.		2009-08-26 04:03:00

The main thing that interests me in that game is how cooperation over a huge team of 128 is going to work against an equally massive team. They're selling it as if it's crucial to have good management from the "officers" on the team, to have strong teamwork in the squads, etc. If this is the case, it could be one thing that brings be back to the shooter for a while. I'm with you on the repetitiveness of shooters these days. I even made a whole thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=15542) about it.

I'm not so much looking forward to the gameplay itself, the aiming down the sight and picking off yet more enemy soldiers... but fitting into a niche on a massive team, and seeing how cooperation is managed is what I'm really interested in with MAG.		2009-08-26 08:33:00

I didn't know there were 5 games out for the PS3. I've never found another good one yet and I've had it since launch day. I have to say it's the worst console for game support in the history of videogaming. If LBP hadn't come out when it did I would probably have bought a Wii and the PS3 would be gathering dust now.		2009-08-26 18:33:00

you can call me crazy but I don't play LBP much unless there is new DLC or I'm making a level of something.

I will be playing it a lot if I get in the Water Beta... but I'm getting MW2, Uncharted 2, the new Ratchet and Assassin's Creed 2!

Well seeing as nothing has greatly amazed me these past couple of months (probably due to having no money because of going on holiday and it being the summer) I don't really have a top 5 however I will compile a list of the top 5 games for the PS3 that I have liked over the past year of owning it.

I don't have 5. As much as I love Sony and their PS3, I don't have the time to play many games. What I play most of the time is Fat Princess, LBP, and once in a blue moon, Battlefield: 1943.

If I had to pick an all-time favorite, it would be LBP. But my "current" favorite is Fat Princess, if that makes any sense.

Funny thing is, when LBP was first announced, I thought it looked like the dumbest thing ever. I didn't "get" it until the beta was out and I saw Youtube videos of everyone's online creations. And actually, what really sold me was when I saw the calculator level. Seeing that made me realize that anything is possible in LBP. Anyone else felt the same way I did???		2009-08-28 08:13:00

I'm kinda with you. When I first heard about LBP, I thought, "That's nice, being able to create yourself, but platforming is a bit... meh to me." Then I saw LittleBigCalculator, and realized the potential. And then, I forgot about LBP until I found a preowned copy at a bargain not long ago.
