Sir Mugglesworth's Travelling Theatre Co. presents...

Archive: 3 posts

I discovered this level many months ago through YouTube, headed to my PS3 and booted it up. I was amazed at the techinicalities of the whole thing, and it is really something special. Sure, there are a few glitches here and there but it really doesn't hurt the overall experience too much.

Last time I played the level there were just over one hundred plays, let's help this guy out a little, I'm sure with all the new patches and utilities that have been introduced this guy could make something amazing.

LEVEL NAME: "Sir Muggleworth's Travelling Theatre Co. Presents..."

Trailer: Standard Video HD Version (NEW)

If you try my level, I can make these promises....

Epicness - My level spans several years and countries, and contains high production values. I divorced my wife and developed a drinking problem while making it. It is the 'Apocalypse Now' of levels. Martin Sheen suffered a heart attack while play-testing it for me. I have since remarried and sobered up.

Dedication - When this level was originally almost completed it was also nearly destroyed when I got the "failed to load level" bug. I was gutted (actually REALLY gutted) and couldn't play LBP for months afterwards (this was my first attempt at a level) but it was brought back from the brink when I sent it off to Media Molecule and they carefully nursed it back to health. It also spurred me on to complete it. I dedicate this level to Anton, who I promised in return I would make a bearded lady level in honour of all that is great about Guildford.

History - I have spent 20 years researching aspects of the Second World War in which my level takes place. All the facts have been thoroughly checked and the level itself is now considered required reading for school children studying the period. All costumes and landscapes have been carefully recreated to immerse the player in a fully realistic setting. One in five people have reported post-traumatic-stress disorders after playing it, but this can be cured easily with the use of constant screaming.

Story - The original treatment for this level was written by Matt Allen and Caled Wilson, writers of the hit Hollywood blockbuster and Vince Vaughn vehicle "Four Christmases", and the upcoming 2009 blockbuster "Five Christmases".

Gameplay - It has a varied amount. I'd probably say the same type of variation as Alex Kidd in Miracle World. (Except without that section where you throw your controller at the Master System II, because the bike sections are too ****ing hard, the rock-papers-scissors sections are ****ing impossible because you've lost your copy of Sega Power with the guide to their pattern in it and the only reason your playing it in the first place is due to the game being built into the console and it wont read your Speedball II cartridge).

Cult appeal - It has only been played 43 45 times, hearted 3 times (twice by me) and has an average of 2 stars. So let's hope it stays that way!

Mild Copyright Infringement - Luckily I've gotten away with it so far, because it's only been played 43 45 times and hearted 3 times (twice by me) and has an average of 2 stars. So Let's hope it stays that way!

Uncover the secret glitches... - Such as the game not finishing for some reason when you get to the end scoreboard and the final boss being killed in a weird way which prevents you from progressing. I have no idea why these happen sometimes.... And now you too can experience the spooky mystery!

I just made Rock Cakes! - I'll give you the recipe to them if you ace the level. True.

Pictures to come. As soon as I work out how to upload them.

But if you're looking to kill some time while waiting for my pictures to be uploaded then why not try my level.

Thanks,

MrMuggins.

Plays for plays, feedback for feedback- but no hearts for hearts. I'm never going to get a platinum trophy and I don't care.
