Vera Bee Sticker pack

Archive: 43 posts

Last month we launched the first of a series of sticker packs made in conjunction with famous art folk that we love and admire, the first of which was from John Burgerman, who made a sticker pack that filled the LittleBigPlanet with doodly goodness.
We are proud to announce the second of these sticker packs will arrive on the store this week, this time featuring the burlesque stylings of Vera Bee. Look at her awesome work now covering this very blog with win!

So keep your eyes peeled this Thursday, 80 stickers from the fabulous Vera Bee, possibly an interview, and a cool trailer too! In the mean time watch this strangely cute-yet-disturbing short film by Vera and her friend Jenn Kluska: Snow-Bo.

Probably means nothing.

Not very useful ones either. Ok, some nice stuff - but not worth it I'm afraid

Wow, that video was weeeeeird. I think I'll pass on this pack. Doesn't look like there's much useful in it, which is a shame.2009-08-24 17:46:00

Well, we all knew more of these were coming and I do like them more than the previous pack, art is subjective after all.

I could see me using some of them though, not a lot...but some.

I'm not big on stickers anyway, but I had to post because of how absolutely disturbing that video was. It screams, "I need a psychologist, badly!"2009-08-24 17:59:00

It wasn't a joke. That video was actually disturbing. Lol.

I love this sticker pack. The burlesque women and the other stickers are all great. A glamorous pack at that. ^_^

I'll probably pick this up, since I'm always looking for more foliage stickers.

Plus those frogs are adorable. I'm a sucker for frogs...

Love her art style, but other than the tree and a few other things... I can't find any use for these. Pass.

I think they're funny. I don't know that I'd use them other than to do silly amusing stuff for myself but I do like them. I'll probably pick these up.... then again I pick almost everything up.2009-08-24 19:32:00

Ok, out of all I'm looking at, these are the useful ones.

Trees and Foliage
Small Animals, I.E. the Frogs and Penguins
The People, just for the face part, the rest we can manage.

That animation was amazing xD

I went from "Aww" to "Eww" to "Aww" to "What? o_o".
I really don't know what to think about it

If they`re the same price as the Burgerman ones I`ll buy it. Any more than a couple of quid and I won`t bother.2009-08-24 20:11:00

Anyway, I think MM should add a costume to the stickers, even raising the price by 0,50, to make the DLC more tasty.2009-08-24 20:29:00

Meh, I can trow out $2, not that much.

I really like how it looks, and the animation was amazing.

I don't really get what's so creepy about it..

Dead men frozen in ice that come back to life and beat kids with sticks, kidnap them, then fly away.
That's what's creepy about it.

I really don't care for these sticker only packs. If they were complex and highly detailed stickers then they would be great but this and the Burgerman pack are very cartoony and simple.

I'm a collector though so I'll still get it.

They need to release a "Realistic" sticker pack that fills up that section in your popit. As for this one, I might pick it up.2009-08-24 22:37:00

I think we all different definitions of disturbing

To me disturbing ranges from something a little weird and funny to something that makes me want to throw up everywhere!

I liked the video. She definitely has an odd sensibility. Did anyone follow the link to her home page? The artwork is very eclectic. Again, lots and lots of women. But my two faves were:

and

http://www.verabee.com/images/ninja-condor.jpg

Call me kooky.

I have no doubt I will buy the pack.

i can't feel disturbing. I didn't find Bioshock disturbing at all... which is weird, apparently.

I thought the video was absolutely adorable! I mean, what little kid hasn't kissed the hand of a dead man that ultimately turns into a ghostly sadist that kidnaps them for who-knows-what?

very Norman Rockwell.

Did I just read that right? Burlesque?
LBP is Y-7 rated, correct?

Just seems a bit out of place.

wait...
A western themed level, perhaps?

I bought the pack and tried the stickers.
There's a lot of good vegetation, some usable animals and a lot of other crap.
I wonder who might use cancan dancers in an LBP levels, anyway, for ? 1,99 it's buyable since the vegetation is really really good.

If a half-naked redneck frozen in ice who comes alive to sadisticly beat a kid with a stick after shoving her in a knapsack only to fly off doesn't disturb you, I don't know what would... lol2009-08-30 21:03:00
