What sponge material would you consider most useful in a level? Both in look and thermo.2009-08-24 02:18:00

Wow, that's incredibly situational - are you deciding between sponges for any particular reason?2009-08-24 02:28:00

Naw, just because I only want to use up to 5 materials, and I'm trying to choose the sponge the looks and stickers the best.2009-08-24 02:38:00

I would just use dissolve, it's grabbable, like sponge, and it stickers perfectly. Unless you have to use sponge, this is the best choice.

Also you are already probably using dissolve somewhere else in the level, meaning your thermometer won't increase at all (at least materials-wise).

There really isn't an answer to this. It simply comes down to personal preference for you. As far as I know, sponge variants don't differ in thermo... but I could be wrong. The only possible reason I could see them having different thermo ratings would be the complexity of the pattern on the fabric. Other than that, you should probably just muck around stickering different types and see what the differences are.2009-08-24 02:56:00

1. Materials thermo isn't important.
2. Dissolve as no clear visual cue to it's grabbable property - if you are going to sticker it, make sure you sticker consistantly and make sure it's clear early on that this sticker pattern == grabbable.
3. It's gonna completely depend on your aesthetic.

So, almost no help from me then...
