Terminator part
Archive: 3 posts
Im working on a level that contains a lot of famous movie scenes and sets, I really want to make a Terminator part in it because I have a good idea for it. Im going to make the ending scene from the first movie, the part where you get chased by the skeleton terminator that eventually gets crushed in one of the machines. Don't know what I'm talking about? Check the Youtube-vid. I've already drawn the obstacels and environment on paper to see how i'll make it but here comes the problem, can I make a walking robot that doesn't look funny? It has to do nothing but walk to the right in a normal tempo, couldn't be so hard could it.. So before im going to make the whole thing, do you guys think I can make a good terminator with the stuff you have in littlebigplanet, i've got good idea's for switches/machines/obstacels and everything but if the terminator looks like a clown the whole thing is worthless... So make this? Tips/Help is welcome YouTube - terminator 1 end | 2009-08-23 20:57:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut Posts: 562 |
It really all comes down to how good your creative and artistic skills are as far as looks go. Where mechanics are concerned, it won't be simple... but not too hard either. You just need to take your time and experiment a lot. I'd probably go about this by attaching my robot's main body or head to a piston connected to a wheeled cart above on a track (out of sight). I'd use a piston so that you can set the min./max. setting slightly different in order to give the appearance of the body's slight up and down movement while walking. Then I'd start working on the legs and walking motion with wobble bolts and tweaking the settings to get your leg motion working. But that's just me.... maybe someone else has a better suggestion? | 2009-08-23 22:22:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |

Thanks for the effort, sounds good and i can build it up piece by piece this way I've decided to make a killbill part first because Im still not sure if im able to do this, but i'll definitly try this | 2009-08-23 22:49:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut Posts: 562 |
