Oh, great thread man!
All the major country leagues have started and this thread will be really funny since it will see the partecipation of lots of fans.

I played football/soccer a lot until nearly 10 years ago.
I had a really strong and precise kick and a gooood run, nothing more really, but I loved it.

I support Milan AC...this year will not be one of our best, but yesterday, on the first league match, the team showed really good things.
Ronaldinho and Pato are really well synched, and Thiago Silva and Nesta are a wonderful central defense duo.
We really sucks on the sides, since Zambrotta is a crippled old dog and Jankulosky is miserable

Anyway...I'm also intersted in bets, and I often bet on other countries' match, so we could even share some considerations about bets.

Which NL team do you support Hybrid?

I love football and my team I support is Millwall F.C

They are not that great and are in league one (which is Englands 3rd division. It goes Premiership-Championship-League one-League 2)

We were relegated to league one a couple of seasons ago. But the season before we were relegated we were nearly promoted to the premiership and got to the F.A CUP FINAL against Mancester United.
That year we lost our chairman and the new one took over and sold most of our first team players then sold the club about 2 months after (basically he screwed us big time). So we didn't have any of our decent players left and was left with another new chairman with no money. So obviously we were relegated.
We nearly got promoted back up last season and was in the Playoff final but lost it 3=2 ater being up 2=1

Most people know Millwall though as a hooligan team........

I was confused coming into this thread.

I'm going to make a petition for America to change 'Football' to 'Handegg'. It makes more sense.

You do know only the U.S. calls it soccer, the rest of the world calls it by its original name: Football,Futbol, etc.

You know, I really do believe Burnley will stay up. Their commitment in the game against Man Utd was fantastic, and proof of the spirit they need to stay in the Premiership. And they're not afraid to play positive football, instead of throwing eleven men behind the ball and relying on the long throws of one player to have an outlet. Besides, I remember last year when you knocked out a near full-strength Chelsea side in the Carling Cup, followed by knocking our kids and reserved out of the same competition.2009-08-27 09:10:00

Yeah, i think we are surprising a few people I go to school in Blackburn, so if we beat them taht will be great fun, what with the massive rivalry between the teams lol 2009-08-27 12:51:00

I'll definately be cheering on The Clarets for those ties. I hate Blackburn with a passion.

And mark my words, unless Burnley goes through some Hull-style collapse (which I doubt, Coyle seems more level-headed than Brown), you will stay up!

Coyle is a great manager

And i hope we don't go through a hull like collapse lol, that wouldn't be good

Up the clarets!

I like football, though I don't play it very often.
The club I like is VfL Bochum. (A team which doesn't like Schalke 04 @ ir0n !) It's not such a good club, always fighting to stay in the first German league, but a real fan must be able to suffer, so I do.

Aha, i love Schalke But yeah, real fans stick by the team, regardless of how they are doing - i had a season ticket for the last 6 years (since i was 10) at Burnley, and went to every home game, along with various games before getting my season ticket... It's much better when good things happen (promotion! ) when you have stuck by the team through harder times 2009-08-28 02:55:00
