Making a teleporter

I've tried following the steps to making a teleporter, but I'm having a problem capturing an activated goal. When I delete the entry in create mode and place a new goal, Everything goes fine in play mode, but when I go back to create, instead of spawing in the new goal, I spawn in the bottom left corner and the goal is not activated. The first checkpoint you place in create mode is the one you spawn from in create mode. But, if you then place an entrance, you spawn from it in play mode, but not in create mode. Does this answer your question? | 2009-08-23 17:46:00 Author: Drakora Posts: 392 |
What I do is... Go into an empty level. Pause. Place a checkpoint somewhere near it. Then, create a rectangle of dark matter above the checkpoint. Attach a winch to the top of the rectangle and hook the other end onto the start gate. Change the winch's setting so that it is flipper in, min length = 0. Exit popit and unpause. The start gate should be destroyed, and you should be left with just a chunk of DM and your checkpoint. Go into play mode, and then return to create mode. That's the problem. I don't enter create mode from a checkpoint once I've destroyed one and placed a new one. I spawn over in the far bottom left corner where ther is no checkpoint. | 2009-08-23 20:48:00 Author: iiiijujube Posts: 594 |
are you going into play mode at all, and then immediately going back into create? That is the step that activates the checkpoint, just leaving the level to your pod and going into create mode again shouldn't work. | 2009-08-23 22:29:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
Well, if you absolutely can't get it to work, I have an activated infinite checkpoint as a prize in one of my demo levels (difficulty selector). It's got a piece of DM glued to the back for support, in case you're confused. | 2009-08-23 22:38:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
