how do i make a 2 switches control the same piston or an object move in another direction? i.e . an elevator open from a piston and close from another switch inside the elevator. also how do i make an object move in diffrent directions from multiple pistons? please help sorry for so many questions at once | 2009-08-23 00:53:00 Author: *EliteNinja* ![]() Posts: 29 |
For your first question, to make two switches control an elevator, set them both to one-shot and hook them to an OR switch with pistons that flip in. Set the timing of the pistons to something around 0.1 - 0.5 seconds, and rig the magnetic key switch from the OR switch onto a state switch, which can be set to directional and control the elevator doors, or whatever else you need. ![]() I'm not really sure what you are asking for the second question though. | 2009-08-23 01:49:00 Author: BSprague ![]() Posts: 2325 |

Where would he hide those switches, though? You can put them anywhere in the level and they will still work. Most likely just out of sight of the player. | 2009-08-23 11:21:00 Author: BSprague ![]() Posts: 2325 |
UMMM..... What is a "state" switch? and how do i make this? | 2009-08-23 14:34:00 Author: *EliteNinja* ![]() Posts: 29 |
A state switch changes between on and off and is normally triggered by a one-shot input. I can sent you one if you want. | 2009-08-23 15:12:00 Author: BSprague ![]() Posts: 2325 |
