This will definitely be useful to people who don't know about this implementation. Personally, I've been using this for a few months. The drawback is that it stops during Play Mode, most likely because MediaMolecule didn't want players drowning out the sounds carefully placed by creators with their own tunes.

Yes it only works in Create Mode! That Rather Dumb... Well, it works in your pod too. I guess they didn't want people to be playing their own music over the music and sounds that people carefully placed in their level.

Nope, sadly not. You could of course just turn on the radio or your CD player.

I think the reason why MM dosn't allow your own music being played in the background would be becasue of copyright issues. Unless you actually made the song yourself or have a legal contract saying you can use the music, it's illegal. Youtube is having this problem right now. Music studios are cracking down on youtube users from using music in their own videos and stuff. It's ok if it's for private use, but not publicly. It's actually illegal to play music in pubs, bars, restaurants, or any other public place unless it's the radio. Back ontopic. I hate it how the shuffle option is turned off by default.... everytime i have to choose my music and turn on the shuffle.....

I know this but is there anyway to get it playing a level? I get music on mine by CD Nope, sadly not. You could of course just turn on the radio or your CD player. Actually I remember a glitch to do with holding down the PS button or something that allowed you to get into a level with the music still playing.

I think the reason why MM dosn't allow your own music being played in the background would be becasue of copyright issues. I highly doubt this. If this was the case, we wouldn't be able to listen to music at all on our PS3s for "copyright issues". If you are listening to music from YOUR hard drive in a level, there shouldn't be any issues. It's not like we are talking about uploading music to play with the level, because then we would run into serious copyright issues.
