paintanator difficulty testSnowy_Black http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4285/aphoto1y.jpgI made this level to try and test out the difficulty with the Paintanator in LBP. When i play a paintanator level in LBP, it's mostly just dodging into the other layer or hiding behind a box and poping out and shooting. I want to make a level that's more like a scrolling shooter, where you have to jump around, move back and forth to dodge the bullets (no Z axies). I want to see how people react to this type of gameplay so feed back would be greatful. all If you have 3mintues to spare please just try out this level. You don't even need to finnish it if you don't want to. Just please leave a comment on the level or post here telling me why you quit. Some feedback on how hard/easy/annoying it was would be very helpful. | 2009-08-22 10:30:00 Author: snowyjoe Posts: 509 |
your forced to play that way to earn the speedy REXecutioner..... but yea, gameplay like that is cool, er atleast i like it. PS: im new too the fourm, whats F4F stand for? i know its not fail 4 fail..... fame for fame? | 2009-08-22 18:09:00 Author: mattbru77 Posts: 143 |
it's Feedback 4 Feedback. You play someones level and give them feedback they'll do the same for your levels. And thanks for the Rexanator Trophy.... I forgot about that. I might acturally get more answers if i create a poll if people like it or not, thanks! | 2009-08-22 21:56:00 Author: snowyjoe Posts: 509 |
The gameplay's great - it's fun and challenging. Only thing it needs is some decorating - that and it needs to be longer. | 2009-08-22 22:27:00 Author: L0l_L0l- Posts: 139 |
Thanks L0l_L0l-. Like I said, this was only a tech demo testing out stuff. The real level is yet to come! | 2009-08-23 01:31:00 Author: snowyjoe Posts: 509 |

This is exactly what I have been working on with the project I have mentioned to the community more than once. I have been doing for so long now, and the blocks in your illustrations look set up almost exactly like the blocks from my game (the one I'm turning into a full-fledged game with many stages and bosses also). Now I almost feel like all of my work has been for nothing, although there might be differences as I am also experimenting with earthquake box and 3D layer, and I already have one super boss made. EDIT: My game is decorated with fancy effects and everything. Your game might not be the same as mine, not sure. Yeah, they are different. No worries. Maybe we can try each others game in the future. ^_^ | 2009-08-23 01:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
Sorry s3xNstilettos. I didn't mean to steal your idea or anything >.< But this is not a proper level, it's only there for me to get information off the LBP communtiy. Once I'm finnished testing and got enough information I can delete it if you want. My actural level (still on paper and in the process of being made ) is nothing like this level, so have no fear! | 2009-08-23 02:52:00 Author: snowyjoe Posts: 509 |
I personally think that jumpng/dodging the plasma is a better method of battle than moving between layers. It's much more fun, and a lot harder. So far, I like your idea. I look forward to seeing what interesting battle sequences you can make.
