http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/images/community_spotlight.jpg The newest episode of our Community Spotlight has arrived! For those of you who are out of the loop, our Community Spotlight is a bimonthly collection of our favorite levels posted by our members. All of these levels have been posted on our site within the last 2 weeks, so you're getting a taste of some of the latest and greatest we have to offer. Click through for the full list. Enjoy! Tribal Ruinsjackofcourse/jackofcourse http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n195/jackofcourse/APhoto-1.jpgSackboy is on an adventure through the Tribal Ruins. Navigating through the temples and the arches he must work out the puzzles and hop his way over the dangers to reach the end! 2 player compatible.*link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* This level resulted in a little crisis of confidence in JackOfCourse after some people pointed out that this level was similar in style to his previous levels. He has nothing to fear however as this is another home run for the elite creator. Inventive puzzles and platforming as well as those gorgeous make this a 5 star level all day long. As always. The style is as un-mistakable as it's quality. Flipping, swinging, hopping and jumping your way though this level is fun and sure to make you think to yourself, "why didn't I think of that?" Fun with a group too. Who made this level? Jackofcourse! Sorry, but this level is unmistakable in its quality platforming and perfect visuals. Since we were introduced to Flaming Timberland we?ve loved Jackofcourse for providing brilliant levels at a speedy rate. And this spotlight we?ve received another fantastic level. But we didn?t expect any less from one of the greatest creators on this site. If a great creator like jackofcourse is doubting his style, then something is up. How can you ever think wonderful mechanics and visuals, done in a style we all know and love could get old. Rather than repeating the same formula each time, jackofcourse adds a little bit more, improves on what he knows and gives us another AAA level to add to his growing list of wonders. The Good, The Bad, The Sackboy... Episode 1wexfordian/wexfordian http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=622&pictureid=5413This is part one of a trilogy. You play a young indian who must protect the tribe from the evil "Crazy Bill". Fight Bill, steal a train and blow up a bridge to save the day. Pics coming soon. So many hours went into this triilogy its not even funny so I hope the first gets off to a decent start cos its gonna get even better Check it out and have fun!*link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* Wexfordian has cleverly taken 3 distinct levels and wrapped them up in a box and sold them as one. As a result, despite the levels not being linked in visual style or thematically, you feel like youve been taken on a journey that just wouldn`t happen had these been 3 seperate levels released 2 months apart. The first stage of this journey is to the Wild West where Wexfordian uses his expertise to create a level that must have the Mm level designers quaking in their boots. From the second you drop into this level you know your in pure Wexforidan territory. From the cinematic opener to the solid gameplay and innovative mechanics this level is just the first course of a banquet of fun set out for players. Great southwestern landscapes, gorgeously decorated characters and a train with style written all over it are presented with highest level of artistry and design. A must play! The first part of Wexfordian?s brilliant series is set in the Wild, Wild West. Why two wilds? Well Wex?s has made his level so action-packed and full of challenges that he deserves it. From the cinematic opening to the equally cinematic ending, you?re treated to high class platforming action and of course a special Wex twist to the level. Wex's Western trilogy starts here!! I love a good western level, and you always expect the best from Wex. Well he does'nt dissapoint, did you believe any less? If you need any other reason to play a level by a well renowned creator, take LBP back to the shop, this instant. As for me, I played it and loved, and could'nt wait for part two.The Good, the Bad, The Sackboy... Episode 2wexfordian/wexfordian http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=622&pictureid=5418Go on a spiritual journey and discover yourself. Do you have what it takes to be chief?*link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* I love it when great creators set a level somewhere other than the real world. The shackles come off, as they did here and what you get is a beautiful concoction of the LBP editor and pure imagination. When you run across the bridge and see the magic dust fall in your wake, you know you`re in a special level. The 2nd of the three part epic from Wexforidan begins where level 1 left off. Take a vision quest through fantastically lit and sculpted landscapes face all new challenges and experience the joy that is seeing magic dust fall from bridges the first time you cross them. You'll smile - I did. Great colour, great challenge, all in a dream like landscape that blends swirled shapes and stylish challenges. A great sequel! Oddly, the last of Wex?s trilogy that I played, but this one is not to be missed. Set in an alternate reality you must prove that you have what it takes to be chief. Strong, brave, skilled and smart ? Wexfordian is quite the creator! But does your sackboy hold the same talents and the ability to become chief?Still in the western theme, which, as ever, looks great. But I've got another part to comment on yet, so searched a thesaurus for a few words to sum up part 2....accomplished, attractive, capital, champion, distinguished, exceptional, exemplary, exquisite, fine. I think you get the picture The Good, The Bad, The Sackboy... Episode 3wexfordian/wexfordian http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=622&pictureid=5481This is where you wake up to realise everything you thought was real was just an illusion. To make matters worse you only have minutes to save yourself and the crew from disaster. The level has multiple endings, first person cutscenes and first person gameplay. Have fun *link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* Another level, another style and another chance for Wexfordian to show us what he can do. And what he can do is awesome! Some incredible use of layers will fool many players into thinking that he has found some new glitch that allows him to switch to a first person perspective. Stepping away from the technical aspects, there is some great fun to be had in this level as well with excellent platforming throughout. The final installment of Wexfordian's epic trilogy. This level takes the first two levels plotline and twists it into space. Trust me it makes sense if you play it. A fantastic example of precision mechanical design with things to smash, squish and drop you all over the screen. Amazingly detailed and a first person perspective technique I've never seen used to amazing ends. You must see this level to believe it. The ending of the last level in the Wild, Wild West?..somehow leaves this one in space. Wex has twisted his crazy trilogy into something even more. Arguably the best level in the trilogy, it keeps up the same underlying game play in the other levels and sets it in a space station. Will you make the right decision when an asteroid is hurtling towards LittleBigPlanet or will you chicken out and leave them to die?Part three of the west.....umm.....space trilogy. Quite a plot twist leads the way into an intro sequence that proves to the doubters that they can still be intresting and relevant. You can always rely on Wex to push the envelope with cinematics, and he certainly does'nt dissapoint here. I really am running out of words to describe what is, without doubt, my favourite LBP series so far.Subterranean Setbacksrtm223/rtm223 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1031&d=1250106999Sackboy's stuck in a run-down sewer and it looks like things are only going to get worse! Guide him through the perils and pitfalls that lie beneath LittleBigPlanet and get him home in time for tea! So this has taken me around 4 months total to create and it's my first level. It's a toughy, but I've tried to make it as rounded an experience as possible (not just a series of illogical obstacles) and a fully immersive experience. You should also find it hard but fair, with a bit of eye candy and unique gameplay here and there to distract you from your constant respawning *link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* It`s been a long time coming, but rtm233 finally made a level. A proper one! And I`m glad he did. Taking a break from technical demonstrations and experiments, he tried his hand at a story driven platformer and it`s a belter. Not one for the noobs, it will challenge even the most experienced of players with jumps at the limits of Sackboy`s capabilities and twisting, disorientating caverns. Let us all hope that it`s not too long before we get level no. 2 from rtm233.Don't expect anything to be easy in this underground epic. Long winding tunnels, long jumps over beds of spikes trying to desperately grab vines and swing to safety, machines on the fritz that need un-fritzing and oh yea, did I mention the sewer mutants? Stay on your toes and bring your skills, you'll need them in this rocky and inhospitable cave system. Special shout out to rtm233 since this is his first published playable level - way to start off strong!A former spotlighter told me this level would take around an hour to complete. Well, I laughed in his old face and went to play this level. An hour later I was still cursing my own platforming skill. The morale of the story (apart from listen to Ccubbage) is that rtm is a great creator. To create a level so long, and yet keep an individual style throughout with many types of challenges is a difficult task ? but it's done superbly here.I think many of us around here were waiting for rtm's first level, and those that have played it will agree, he has'nt let us down. Although I was perplexed, puzzled, and foiled by one of the many many hazards, I never got fustrated, bored or sick. It shows a great creator to make something as hard, yet addictive as this. You can only imagine the logic and thought thats gone into this little gem of a level. I spent at least an hour in the level and loved every second, and have no doubt you will to.Sci-Fi World Exmdaj/mdaj http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu79/BigDookey/APhoto1.jpgNew Addition to the Sci-Fi World Series!!! New concepts and new machines and made little more challenging. Sorry, no kool space ships in this level, but makes-up for it with fun hard gameplay. Better if played as single player, but still possible with 2 peepol.*link to video - if unavailable, remove this portion* This series of levels is as well known to the community by now as any series could hope to be. This recognition is well deserved though with mdaj coming up with new and flashy tricks seemingly with ease. With this level he has spread his wings a little and gone with a more platforming orientated approach. It`s a success and seeing his visual style perfectly blended with fun and challenging action is a joy too behold. Most LBP players have heard about, if not played, mdaj's Sci-Fi World levels before but he brings a little something new to this one - a focus on gameplay to accent his already legendary visual style. Worth the trip just to see his custom levers - I love those things. Visuals cropped for more game play, mdaj has taken a risk with the new instalment of space levels. But it's payed of brilliantly for him. No flashy spaceships, but the thermo saved has been lavished on elaborate and fantastic fun platforming. One most have played ? and that the rest should!STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Back: Cloud City: err... Etc!julesyjules/julesyjules http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_24-3.jpgIt's a dark hour for the Rebellion! Sensing your friends are in danger, you rush to save them on the gas mining facility Cloud City, an untrained Jedi unaware of the trap that lies ahead....... *LINK TO VIDEO - IF UNAVAILABLE, REMOVE THIS PORTION* Julesyjules by now is pretty much a household name around these parts due to this series. It`s better than almost anything that has been produced by Lucasarts in the last few years and rightly earns tens of thousands of plays and hearts with every new level published. Also evident, is how much he has improved over time. This new one is as good as any I`ve played, from the visuals to the platforming, the comedy to the cutscenes, it`s fantastic start to finish and is the product of a master at work. I might actually shed a tear when he finishes up the series.Blending a beloved sci-fi classic and LBP inside humor yet again, julesyjules brings us another fantastic level in his Star Wars series. If you haven't played any of the previous installments you must have been living on a remote island somewhere without a PS3, Welcome back! Now go check out this level - seriously your missing out on awesome gameplay, wonderful visuals, two boss style battles with Darth Vadar...... I mean c'mon it's Darth Vadar in LBP! You gotta go play it.... now! While George Lucas goes around souring my taste for Star Wars, JulesyJules just keeps on knocking out classic after classic, re-affirming whats great about one of my favourite trilogies . Another fantastic take on a wonderfully designed and implemented level from beginning to end. And you get to fight Darth Vader, what more could you want. I for one can't wait to see his take on Jabba the Hut and Boba Fett.Night of the Monsters! 2: Metropolis Gates SLS10/SLS10 http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_20-4.jpgThe beloved yet underplayed level Night of the Monsters! now has its own sequel! Gad about a volcanic wasteland towards the Metropolis to save it from a very monstrous invasion!*LINK TO VIDEO - IF UNAVAILABLE, REMOVE THIS PORTION* Red, Firey and Fun, the sequel to Night of the Monsters turns up the heat in terms of gameplay and overall visual style. A unique blend of the monster pack with the MGS pack it's an high tech looking monster fest that has a great flow and plenty of secret areas to find. Check out the awesome lava spewing spring platforms, green light/red light swinging obstacles and plenty of chesterfield fabric wheels to fling yourself off of. Great fun to play. It also sports a very tough boss. Check this level out for a great example of a creator growing in skill but staying true to his own style. More monsters vs MGS here from SLS10. This level is all fun, with some nice innovative platforming throughout as well as another awesome boss at the end for you to marvel at. Great stuff.Lost Ages: IIdeftmute/deftmute http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_21-3.jpgThe Tower of Ages brings our courageous sackperson to another new world.Explore lush lowlands and climb the walls of a great castle left behind by a lost civilization of engineers. Suggested for 1 player. Very Hard.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPZVgdqr-vo The sequel to Lost Ages has arrived. This one, like it's predecessor is more quiet than a lot of levels but with a difficulty that will have those not committed to finishing, running off to play a costume tutorial level. Precision jumps, swings and flips will challenge even hardened LBP players. Great decaying structures and abandoned windmills lend a lonely feel to the visuals that will delight eye candy fans. Make time to play this little gem.Since Bridgets last level, I have not been so determined to finish a challenge from a creator. But several hours of hardcore flatforming, cursing and doubting my abilities later I finished it. Even an interuption from ARD didn't stop me (apparently he and Grant has attempted the level whilst drunk!) But for all the punishment and time you pour into this level - you'll get back beautiful visuals and some brilliant platforming. Load up LBP, take some perk pills and try and beat it!A warning, don't try this level drunk. The challenging structure of the level will require your every skill and concentration to navigate. The size and scale of the structures that you'll find yourself moving through is simply staggering throughout. Deftmutes use of the the three planes really shines in this level, as you move in, over, behind and under the wonderful architecture. Its a perfect addition to an already great looking series.Gothic Reverie 2Ungreth/Ungreth http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=628&pictureid=5741Guide sackboy through a series of moral dilemmas as he continues in his journey to escape the twisted nightmare of Robert Smith. Explore a tropical beach and succumb to the charms of the cannibal queen, or else bring an end to her reign of terror. Enter a gloomy cavern to save a stranded man from certain death and help him get home to his kids...or don't. Climb the city's rooftops to summon holy rain or graffiti it's streets with name of the Dark Creator. Sail to the edge of the deep green sea and deliver a letter to the lovely Elise...but be careful who's mail you chose to post. Features two alternative bosses to fight at the end, depending on the actions you take as you travel. Good or bad...it's your choice! Special edition only while stocks last (or at least until bakscratch's layer glitch get's patched)*LINK TO VIDEO - IF UNAVAILABLE, REMOVE THIS PORTION* The sequel to Gothic Reverie and just like it's predecessor this level is loaded up with lyrics from The Cure's music. Strange at times, downright nightmarish at others it's an unusual but beautifully done level with varying landscapes and memorable characters. The coolest thing is that you always have a choice and depending on what you choose your path can change. Check it out even if you don't have a clue about the band. It seems like the week to bring out sequels ? and what better a sequel than to Gothic Reverie, one of my favourite levels from recent times. The quirky artistic styles of Ungreth work perfectly to compliment the choice of theme and make this level one you shouldn?t be missing. Gothic Reverie was a pleasant surprise when it was released. Inspired by an album by The Cure, it impressed with its visuals, gameplay and unique atmosphere. Ungreth is back with more with this sequel. A marked improvement over the already excellent first, Gothic Reverie 2 is a must for all creators who struggle to find inspiration for levels as this level is proof that inspiration comes from all sorts of weird and wonderful places.Another trip into the mind of Robert Smith from the Cure, is another trippy journey through many different styles and set pieces. If I said you went from a cannibal tribe, to a supermarket, to a ballroom dance in the sky to delivering a letter of love or hate, you'd be more than interested to see what I was talking about. So why aren't you playing it and observing one of the most varied, plain weird yet beautiful and capivating levels LBP has to offer.Lone Ninja Episode 5: Trouble at Sakigaharacoyote_blue/coyote_blue http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=657&pictureid=5742This is my sixth level. Lone Ninja has undergone some episode numbering changes, and my first ever level (now episode 4) ended up changing so much, I deleted it and started over. I started this series, and Create Mode overall, wanting to make Sackboy do over-the-top moves. The only thing funnier than Sackboy, as I see it, is Sackboy doing a spinning powerbomb on a bad guy thrice his size. Ninja action with a pretty but equally deadly with a blade sack girl at your side sound like fun? It is when you pop into the latest level n the Lone Ninja series from coyote_blue. All the action of the previous levels including custom ninja super moves which are so cool to pull off, and all in a beautiful setting. Cherry blossoms, waterfalls, paper panels and lots of details make the level as nice to look at as play. If you haven't played the previous levels catch up and take on a demon horde and a fantastic boss in this one.Coyote_blue has a habit of introducing new game play elements in his quality series and this time he doesn?t disappoint. This level continues the hectic pace and combination of a sword play combat system and fast paced platforming with the rubbish stripped out! A beautiful artistic view of japan thrown into the air by evil, but will you be able to defeat the epic boss at the end of this one?LightbringerTrindall/Trindall http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/926/aphoto44.jpgA prophecy from an age long past told of a Hero that would cleanse the land of a dark evil. Yet the Hero never came and the evil scoured the land. You find yourself in this dead kingdom, can you bring light back to the land? Puzzles of light in a crumbling and lonely world make for a very moody but beautiful level. Bring light to illuminate the darkness and make your way deeper into this ancient landscape to face the darkness itself. Very stylish and subtle it's an excellent example of a level with challenges designed to make you use your head and your LBP skills in equal measure. Whereas most level creators scream and shout about their level through bombastic introductions and cutscenes, Trindall takes a quieter approach, allowing the level to unfold before you as you solve puzzles and uncover new ones in the process. And it`s all the better for it as it creates an atmosphere of solitude for you to ponder over your predicament.Light is a very underused feature in LBP, a feature that can make an ordinary level look fantastic. However in this level, you are the lgithbringer - bringer of the light. Not used as much to light the scene but to complete puzzles and challenges. Visuals are still superb and a clever story is added to keep the level fresh and new. Play this level for the great use of light alone! Trindall has constructed an extremely clever level utilising the power of light. Using puzzles and prisms to reflect the light in order to defeat the darkness ahead, its both awesome in design and implementation. The visuals give a staggering feel of size and desolation and the challenge is spot on, from the afore mentioned puzzles to the superb ending battle. | 2009-08-21 21:24:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
WOW some great levels there. A lot I've had the privelege of playing before but will definitely be trying the ones I havn't asap. Congrats to Wex for getting 3 levels in the same Spotlight. That must be a first and may never happen again. | 2009-08-21 21:28:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
Ah a great collection of levels as usual - we're having trouble getting through the level showcase. But Wex spoiled us with his three beautiful levels. And Jackofcourse's new one was great. Another great star wars tribute... Coyote_blue's new ninja level and great new stuff too. Two levels fighting it out for the longest I've spent on a level. I'm looking at you two - rtm and Deftmute! Suprisingly a first for Trindall - most of his levels are usually great, but thisis the first to be spotlighted. And the sequel to gothic reveries is beautiful I'd like to thank all of the spotlight crew because, lets face it, they're the best part of the site Except that old man in there.....GrannyUK is it? He's getting old now | 2009-08-21 21:28:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Congratulations to the creators spotlighted. There is some incredible levels i already played in this list. And a special congrats to Wex for it's three birds with one rock A big thank you, as always, for the spotlight crew that provide an awesome work! EDIT: wow, posts are popping everywhere, and the comments are close | 2009-08-21 21:29:00 Author: Takelow Posts: 1355 |
Nice, congrats to everyone!!! | 2009-08-21 21:29:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
Awesome! I've actually played most of these (fairly unusual for me to be able to say this) and they were outstanding. If the others hold up to the standard I've already seen set, then I really must get to them this weekend. Congratulations to all these creators for recognition of your fine efforts. And hats off once again to the tireless Spotlight Crew! Another fabulous collection you've amassed! | 2009-08-21 21:29:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Another great installment | 2009-08-21 21:29:00 Author: Zhion5991 Posts: 164 |
Hmm... Biased, lazy, repetitive, and boring... ... are four words that are the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the Spotlights are all about. Wonderful levels, showcased on a wonderful site, spotlighted by wonderful Spotlighters. Played most of them already, and will play the rest immediately. Congratulations to all, (with a special large Jameson's for wex), and well done Spotlight team. Spotlight? Spot on! | 2009-08-21 21:35:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Congratulations creators! There were a ton of great sequels and Wexfordian just blew our minds with his excellent trillogy plus some great new tallent bringing their A game. Nice work everyone and keep 'em coming! | 2009-08-21 21:46:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Oooo, more spotlighted level candy! ^_^ I will have to try all of these when I get around to it. I play, but very rarely since I am always creating. I have seen most of these levels when searching for levels to play but have never went into them. But I am going to play every one on this list each time I have play time. Lol! | 2009-08-21 21:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
Congrats to the creators of these wonderful looking levels And well done to the spotlight crew once agai for putting so much work to make this all happen You guys are great | 2009-08-21 21:49:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |

I really appreciate the Spotlight guys, but I'm kinda embarrassed (in a small LBP way) because I'm currently having problems with the level glitching occasionally so I'm not sure it deserves to be there.....Big apologies to anyone who's having a problem with the level, I've tried my darndest to get it sorted. On a more positive note, congrats to everybody else in the Spotlight. ANOTHER great set of levels!! | 2009-08-21 22:08:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Congratulations to all the creators! Good selection! I only played Jackofcourse and wexfordian ones, I gonna try the others... | 2009-08-21 22:11:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
Well done to everyone. Wexfordian has 3 in the same episode! That may never happen again | 2009-08-21 22:15:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Three levels by one creator in the spotlight? That's a record, Wex! A much deserved one at that. There are still a couple of these levels I haven't played yet, will get on it tomorrow. | 2009-08-21 22:21:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Yay, I'm happy to hear that people think that Lightbringer is good enough to share the same spotlight as a wide cast of very talented creators that I have admired for quite some time. This is the first level of mine that I've really been happy with in in regards to it being a full fledged level rather then visuals without substance or rotating gimmickry. @Coxy224 I did get a previous level spotlighted a while back, Heart of the Flip-Side, but I've been fairly under the radar in LBP matters for while with work matters, pregnant wife matters and then newborn baby matters. Congratulations to everyone else on the spotlight, I've managed to play a good number of these and look forward to those I have not. Cheers. | 2009-08-21 22:34:00 Author: Trindall Posts: 297 |
No surprise for me this time, I've played all of these levels and just as I had predicted Lost Ages: II would stand out as my favorite. | 2009-08-21 22:37:00 Author: Kipmonlin Posts: 251 |
I am blown away by the talent of this community. The levels just keep getting better and better, don't they? | 2009-08-21 22:42:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Nice looking levels ill have to check out the ones i havent played. | 2009-08-21 22:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
A significant personal win once more. Thanks, deliciously wonderful Community Level Pickers... I don't know your official name, but I still owe you a ton of thanks. | 2009-08-21 23:22:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |
Congrats to everybody spotlighted! It's greatly deserved. Tks to the spotlight team too! You are sure making so i'm never running out of level to play and this without even having to search for great ones. . | 2009-08-21 23:36:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

I loved the Lightbringer but I need to play all these levels, trying to understand how they create such cohesive stylish levels. Keep up the awesome work fellows, congrats to you all. | 2009-08-22 00:07:00 Author: Onymega Posts: 17 |
In a word: WOW! Fantastic spotlight, and every one is 5 stars in my book! Unfortunately, this time around I've already PLAYED ALL OF THEM! And Julesyjules - even if there's a few LBP bug issues (which I personally still haven't experienced after playing your latest Star Wars level 8 times), your level totally deserves it.... even with some hickups, it's just that good! Great job, talent scouts! | 2009-08-22 00:49:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Awesome!! Congrats to everyone selected! Great job folks! Well deserved!! I have played quite a few of these and will have to make sure to visit the rest soon! ...and again, a huge thanks to our spotlight team! p.s.. and jules... The level is awesome even with a minor bug. It's just THAT GOOD! Just enjoy the spotlight!!! | 2009-08-22 01:01:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Congrats to all creators!!! I haven't played a most of them (I'm creating all the time / but I'm gonna have to now. They look amazing! | 2009-08-22 02:10:00 Author: javi haguse Posts: 744 |
thanks guys. i was kinda worried that i may have been out of the running due to my poor timing in publishing. that and the horror stories i kept hearing. i just started on the starwars levels last night. they really are great. wex's trilogy is truly amazing. oh and rtm kept me up past my bedtime...while my roommate heckled me. still need to get to the others. | 2009-08-22 03:20:00 Author: Deftmute Posts: 730 |

Ah, this was so nice to wake up to this morning and see. Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments. Im delighted to be picked for the spotlight, and looking through the list of other level included, I feel very happy to be put in the same league as them. Thank you to all the spotlight crew for all your hard work. When I was reading through what you were all saying I had the biggest smile on my face. And after a bit of a rubbish week at work that was a very hard thing to do I have played most but not all of these so I'll shut up now and go off to play some more kick *** levels! | 2009-08-22 06:44:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Wow. I know I've said this too many times, but I have been absolutely blown away by the success I've had over the last week. I made a level that only really had niche appeal and pretty much ticks none of the boxes for "how to make a popular level on LBP" and then somehow all this!! Thanks to everyone for support and feedback and hearts More importantly, I just wanna point out that Gothic Reverie 2 and Night of the Monsters 2 are both massively underrated and underplayed ATM. Both are fantastic levels and really deserve this. (Go play them now - you won't be disappointed). Both have underplayed original chapters too, which again are excellent levels. | 2009-08-22 12:01:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Thank you for the spotlight once again. Great levels all around, I'm yet to play the latest Star Wars so will be right on it. (I'd have left one of Wex's out though just so he didn't get the complete set...just to wind him up tbh! haha) | 2009-08-22 15:12:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

wow! this has to be one of the best spotlights yet! congratz to all and especially to wex, for getting 3 levels in the spotlight :O | 2009-08-22 15:27:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
Thanks to the Spotlight crew. This is actually the most valuable recognition I've received for any of my levels. Anyone can get drive-by hearts - but having a team responsible for stuff like Chroma Stone Chronicles, From Siberia With Love, and the like point at my level and say, "I don't hate this", is awesome. Being pointed at among the likes of JackofCourse (awesome contraptions), wexfordian (horses that walk!), and rtm 223 (have you seen the switches on that guy?) makes me want to get all misty-eyed. And I've been a superfan of julesyjules, ever since I got in a landspeeder and it played "Skywalker Theme" on its horn in place of "La Cucaracha". Now *cracks knuckles* I've played Gothic Reverie and Night of the Monsters 1...gotta go get me some sequels. You may not have noticed yet, SLS10, but my Demonic Dirigible is named after you. I literally spent half an hour, drunk, cursing and breaking the pistons on your infernal AI gift objects so I could learn how to build a boss brain of my own. Thanks much. | 2009-08-22 15:46:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |

I'm actually a BIT surprised Wex's Good, Bad, and the Sackboy 3 made it.... Matt_82 ran away from the asteroid and got the bad ending - I thought for SURE he would sway the rest of the group to not spotlight that one.... we KNOW how he hates being deprived of a point bubble! | 2009-08-22 19:02:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

I did? Well that can`t be right. Morgana must`ve gone in and corrected all the spellings as thanks for me correcting hers. 3 folk will get that joke. Don`t be worried if you`re not one of them. | 2009-08-23 05:34:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |

Ooohhh..... I wonder who would win in a Scottish-Irish fight! On the one hand, it's kind of hard to fight while wearing a kilt... on the OTHER hand, it's kind of hard to fight while holding a beer.... Where's that animated gif when you need it? | 2009-08-23 13:49:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
It's easy to fight while holding a beer without even spilling a drop! On the other hand, it's easy to fight while wearing a kilt (if you simply raise said kilt, it will usually shock most assailants into submission!). | 2009-08-23 13:57:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |

it's hard to fight wearing a kilt? scottish warriors wore them into battle for hundreds of years. those same warriors turned back the roman empire! | 2009-08-25 12:15:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
It's true that the Scots were wearing skirts and makeup while fighting the Romans, but the Romans were wearing dresses. Everyone was crossdressing so that must have leveled the playing field somewhat | 2009-08-25 12:26:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
OK who do you think would win? http://www.kiltednation.com/images/P/HAPPY%20BLOKE%20111_med.jpg or http://www.armsofvalour.com/boru2.jpg | 2009-08-25 12:40:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |

it's hard to fight wearing a kilt? scottish warriors wore them into battle for hundreds of years. those same warriors turned back the roman empire! True..... but the Romans were a bunch of woosies. I've read Asterix the Gaul! | 2009-08-27 00:54:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Why do I get the feeling that a LBP level building face off depicting alternate views of history between the Scots and the Irish against other nationalities is the next logical step for this conversation to take? | 2009-08-27 01:02:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
